Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
The brick box is exquisite! I love the unique closure, the cut-out window, the embossing, and the lasercut brick band. I got number 87 of 500 on my brick band, which is OK, but I really lucked out with my numbered black decks: #2, #3, #9 and #10. Thank you Gamblers.

Sinjin7, congrats on those low deck numbers! Obviously, low brick numbers does not translate to low deck numbers.

Took a few photos this afternoon. I dropped the red deck as I was removing the cellophane and dinged the corner.

Cool pictures Timmargh. The blue and the black on are going to be on my January shopping list.

Yeah was wanting to have a look at the Fable craft deck, which was TIGHT anyway, and my thumb went through the tuck.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
My tracking number has not been updated in 2 weeks... I've received my decks, but am still missing my uncut sheet... I've messaged TGW via the Kickstarter message and have not yet heard back... Hope he'll read this and can respond on it soon... If not I'll have to message Lorenzo see if he can look into it as well, which is what I don't want to do...

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Yes to some degree I can understand that. But I don't think they take 2+ weeks longer... and the fact that my tracking number hasn't yet updated in so long isn't helping either..KT52 wrote:In my experience, uncut sheets are generally shipped later and take longer to arrive.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
My dad dropped my package off on the 21st - before we saw Star Wars.
I haven't opened the red, blue, or green decks. I did open a black deck, and we played euchre with it, on NYE. As expected, it's simply a very good premium 'standard' style deck.
I haven't opened the gaff pack, either, but I did open the mini deck (that I didn't know I was getting lol)!

I’ve still not received my pledge (for one single black deck).
I’ve tried messaging TGW on Kickstarter with no response thus far.
Hope to hear something soon!

Hi Dissident. Sorry for the lack of communication. It can all get overwhelmming even now after 99% fulfillment. Send me an email direct to gentlemanwake@gmail.com and we'll look into it. Did you fill out your backerkit survey? Have you contacted 52wonders (international fulfillment center) to inquire? DId they issue a tracking no.?

TGW, I will send you an email now.
At the time, you sent a specific link to the backerkit survey (which didn't arrive originally). Nothing from 52wonders.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Still don’t have my black deck and don’t anticipate that I ever will with PR like the following
Customer service “Requiem Team” style...
Greg, Yes I am pretty serious. If you read the updates (actually you did not), for your case there was an action to take: write to 52wonders. They offered customer support, and even if they do not reply instantly they eventually do. Your first package is still marked as PENDING at the Australian postal service and you had the tracking. Do not blame me if you have been unlucky and the customs of your country f$&@ed* up the release and the delivery of a single deck of cards. Do you want the replacement? write to 52 wonders and ask for it, as everybody else did. That is what is written in the updates. All the other problems with UPS destroying packages and lost parcels have been solved. You are the 0.05% complaining lazy one doing too much noise.
* I have censored the f-bomb for the purpose of this post. The rest is word for word as received on KS.
This has been my single biggest disappointment in roughly 5 years of collecting. This is the first time in 97 backed KS projects that I’ve been told to arrange my own fulfilment. I never had any problems with Stockholm17 projects and I have backed them to the top tier previously.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Hmm... strange situation. I don't know the whole story of course but I don't see a problem for them to contact 52wonders and tell them to send a replacement deck. It would have not taken a second longer than it took to write the above mail + the "we got you covered, replacement is on its way"-mail to you.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Background story is that when I hadn’t received my black deck pledge by mid February, I messaged them on KS. They wanted the tracking number that 52wonders provided and I gave it to them. Shortly after they advised something has gone awry and they’d be sending a replacement deck and would send me tracking details. Now two and a half months later - still no tracking details and still no deck. When I complained about this, they told me to chase it with 52wonders myself along with some rant about always having told me to do it myself. I have been more than reasonable and patient and have been treated with utter disdain.
I agree, they could and SHOULD be chasing this down - this approach I would consider standard practice for most reputable and reasonable creators.
As it stands I will be giving up on ever receiving it, filing a fraud claim with my bank, and reporting this to Kickstarter.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
That def doesn't sound like Lorenzo. He's nowhere near like that when he responds to issues...
Sounds like Omar and with a response like that, it's someone that has no idea how to run a campaign and shifting responsibility.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
I definitely don’t think it’s Lorenzo responding to these problems. I have dealt with him on Stockholm 17 projects and he has never been anything but courteous, professional and proactive when issues have arisen. His focus has been on working with and not against the customer.

Count me as another party interested to know who the hell talks to a customer like that. Even if the customer is wrong, that ain't no way to conduct business.

Most definitely not Lorenzo. Whenever I dealt with him in connection with lost packages, he always went out of his way to help and get the situation sorted.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Still fighting with Omar to get my reward already. First it’s my fault, then it’s 52wonders, then it’s Australian Customs. He wouldn’t know responsibility if it bit him on the ass and he is doing a great deal of damage to the brand. I need to fight for what is fair though so unfortunately this is going to continue to go further until they do the honest and proper thing - either actually send me the cards I paid for or provide a full refund.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Guys,
I am the one who replied to the troll on Parlour Kickstarter (Greg Walker) and Requiem Team is the account to use to reply, not TGW. He is too kind. LOL
As you know I follow all the backers with great communication from day one to delivery, and post-delivery too.
When somebody lies and trolls because he in unable to read 3 lines of text and take action as everybody else does, well, I proudly loose my temper and I give what he deserves after I try to be reasonable.
I expose the facts here so you have a better picture.
Shipping and fulfillment for 1800 backers with 2 different fulfillment centers is not a piece of cake.
Sometimes packages get lost, or stuck at the customs. Sometimes backers have to pay the customs fees, sometimes they get mad, and I understand.
That's why I always ship - where possible - with tracking number, because I can see what happens to the package. Tracking nr = more expensive parcel.
In this case the retarded Australian border security office blocked and lost a package, Greg's package. Huzza!
He wrote something on the comment section of the KS page and I followed up.
The tracking said it was PENDING.
I asked him to wrote to 52W and he did. 52 replied on Wed, 11 Dec 2019.
I wrote to the Australian border security to ask about the package and they could not help.
I asked Greg to call the Australian postal service, and probably he did, I do not know.
I asked Greg to write to 52Wonders, because me and TGW paid the fulfillment and the fee included the customer service for int. backers.
I have 1800 backers to follow and I do my best.
What Greg had to do is writing to 52W.
If 52W for some reason does not reply or there is an issue, a normal person writes again. OR NOT?
Ever since I did not hear anything more, I assumed he wrote to 52W and the case was solved.
AFTER 6 MONTHS he rages out on the comment session saying that we stole his money.
You can go and read all the comments and my replies from 5 months ago and see how it escalated (find his oldest comment from 5 months ago).
I do not accept being called thief after 10+ fully fulfilled ks campaigns. I am not a the-customer-is-always-right person, because customers can be trolls. Like Greg.
Shipping problems happens, I provide the best solution I can.
So, dear Greg Walker from Australia,
learn to behave and read the friggin procedure we provided for your specific case.
Contact 52W again and talk to them, as the rest of the backers did. IF no response, write again. Is it so hard?
Do not blame me if the customs blocked your package.
Do not blame me if you do not find the email from 52W.
I did not steal your money. Actually we paid the production, the shipping, and the reshipping that will happen when you learn to read and take action like an adult and like the rest of the 1800 backers.
Do not wake up after 6 months of inactivity and rage out like a troll on the comment session.
Do you want your deck? you know what to do and you will get it.
Not my best Regards

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Sorry for my absence.
With all due respect to those participating in this thread throwing around accusations like 'this sounds like' and 'this must be' is unfair and in this case wrong. If the post says Requiem Team rest assured it is not me answering.
And as far as shifting responsibility is concerned, I'm certainly not interested in doing with that either and resent the implication. Coming from someone who uses the term 'Gentleman' in his name I can assure you courtesy and respect is something I extend to every single person.
Because Lorenzo is a trusted partner and because of his many years of experience running KS campaigns I defer to his judgement on cases where issues have arisen. I look to him for guidance.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
I could have, and should have, worded my comment better. My meaning was "What makes you say he considered it your fault" and I apologise for wording it as I did and making it sound like I was taking sides; I know nothing of the case in question.
I've been on the receiving end of Lorenzo's customer service many times and one of the words I would use to describe it is "exemplary." And he too is a gentleman.
EDIT: I've just the comments.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Just to follow up, I again wrote to 52wonders yesterday asking for status, their response was and I quote "the post office doesn't allow us to create shipping label to certain countries during Covid-19 and Australia is unfortunately one of the countries on the list..." I am not going to challenge this statement, if it is true then it is true - The underlying problem is that there is no justifiable reason that I should have not received my deck well before the World shut down with Covid. Of course, you would know all of this if you read your correspondence on the matter, as 52wonders email responses are always CC'd to Omar.Stockholm17 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 2:43 pm Guys,

S17
Unfortunately, your rant ignores the fact that I have paid in full for the deck, filled out the required surveys, written to 52wonders multiple times, written to you guys more than I care to count (via email providing supporting documents, tracking numbers...) and I still DO NOT HAVE MY DECK after 15 months. Most reasonable people would say that if you pay for something and don't receive it by 15 months later, you have effectively had your money stolen as one half of the transaction wasn't fulfilled.
I have backed S17 projects in the past and never had this drama. These include big $$ purchases (top tier of Gemini) which I never questioned, as you had always demonstrated being trustworthy in the past. No more!
Sadly, if you invested half the energy into actual resolution that you've invested abusing me in KS comments sections and UC forums and labelling me a "troll" for simply wanting my pledge after 15 months, this problem wouldn't exist today.
You say to me "you know what to do and you will get it" - Please tell me what that is and I will do it, as all of my attempts are clearly failing.
I want what I paid for, and after that happens, I will very happily have nothing further to do with you.
