Bradius wrote:It is a wrap. I noticed one of the double brick rewards opened up earlier today, but it quickly found a new backer. In the end, it was 424 backers for $38,751. That total doesn't include any of the additional funding through Oath Playing Cards for the Signature decks. BTW, the option for the Signature Decks is no longer available. I checked right after the Kickstarter closed and it was down, so Lotrek either took it down as the Kickstarter closed, or he had a timer to take it down automatically.
I took it down. Closed forever!

The Signature decks sold are A LOT! If we count them too, the campaign raised way above 50K. Thank you all so much for the amazing support! Tomorrow I'll announce the total of Signature decks and I'll go buy that wonderful fabric for the tuck boxes. :ugdance:

Not only this was the most I've spent on a kickstarter campaign but first time getting a brick.

Same here! First time I have ever ordered a full brick since I am primarily a collector and one of each usually works fine for me. But I just could not stop myself...I wanted them ALL like Scrooge McDuck!

No awards if you only got one brick (unless you bought several Signature decks). I picked up 3 bricks. :D But I was struggling to find enough money for one Signature deck.

1 brick and 4 signature decks. Was debating getting a 2nd brick to get another red deck. I should have done it.

First Kickstarter I have participated in since the original Federal 52 launch. The decks look gorgeous, but having limited space I am very excited to have one of each deck (minus the brick only gilded red) to put on display in my collection.

Just got a message that you can no longer pay for Kickstarter projects with Revolut. This will likely end my back of all UK Kickstarters unless I can find a replacement.

For those unaware, Revolut is a prepaid card that allows foreign currency purchases for very very low margin. I often saved 5% of the total cost over comparable charges from my bank card. No way I will continue to pay such usurious fees going forward and I might even drop my brick pledge from this campaign as a result.

Kickstarter creators beware! Could mean tougher funding times ahead.

Been there, done that. I can understand your dilemma. You might be able to find some other credit card with this feature.

I have been using Latitude 28 degrees card available in Australia and it gives the feature quoted above with no additional foreign transaction charge levied. It gives better rates than any other Bank cards, and so, for all Australian backers, 28 degrees card is recommended.

My bank, NatWest, have a MasterCard that doesn't charge a fee for foreign currencies; I got it mainly to use with Kickstarter.

Congratulations, let's celebrate. Get out the magic kettle and all of the backers can have some drinks. I'll take a henny with coke. :P

Problem with this one is you are still paying whatever the MasterCard rate is, which does look like they are taking a 1.5 to 2% margin but at least they aren't charging a transaction fee which many cards do. Revolut charges 0.5%.

Thanks for the recommend though.

Did anyone else see the update? The total bought is about 350 Signature decks! That's essentially double the Ambassadors Signature, really surprised me to see that. Definitely some strong support for the campaign by the end, no doubt I'm going to have to add the Red Gilded to my white whale list.

I gave into the brick just for the red gilded so that I won't have to pay high for it later since it's the best looking tuck to me.

If the brick reward remained as just the normal red deck, I would not have got it.

It was an add on. You had to pick it from a drop box "add a deck" list on Backerkit. It was really hidden in my opinion, not just it's own option.
Move on, nothing to see here.

The red version wasn't that hard to get. I started off just green and purple, end up getting the brick with 4 of red, green and purple just to get the red gilded.

Hopefully down the line we all can rid of our extra decks. I would sell the green, purple and red normally, maybe $5-$10 extra but the signature decks I see flippin' going on.
