Madison Players - from T11 and Daniel Madison
Madison Players - from T11 and Daniel Madison
""M" Marks the Spot. This Wednesday, October 10th at 11:00am EDT." - Theory11
I am excited for this but it's probably just another deck with a nice back design, but standard faces.

Re: NEW DECK- Players Playing Cards from T11 and Daniel Madi
Yeah, that seems to be Theory 11's pattern: Decent back design/Jokers/Ace of Spades, great tuck box, nothing else custom or special..... Oh yeah, they're also "limited/rare" (when they're really not, shhhhh!)
Re: NEW DECK- Players Playing Cards from T11 and Daniel Madi
Please be bee/aristocrat stock and magic finish...but it's probably not going to be.

Re: NEW DECK- Players Playing Cards from T11 and Daniel Madi
I do not think I can handle another site crash although it would give me something to bitch about for a spell. I guess I will give it a whirl. Despite all the nonsense I still like what T11 has been putting out just the marketing drives me crazy.

Thanks for the heads-up, grabbed a couple.
Sigh, lovely international shipping, so of course had to place a big order.

http://www.theory11.com/playingcards/pl ... el-madison" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It does say the white ones are limited, so I imagine we'll see a follow up version someday. Very interesting and minimal, and supposedly lots of secrets in them (that certainly is the trend in the last month. Decks full of secrets! Get em while they are hot!)

Re: Madison Players - from T11 and Daniel Madison
I do wonder how limited are they, are they S&M v1-3 limited or white monarch "limited"? i think Blaine printed shit load of white lions B because they are marked. This makes me question the quantity of those, Since T11 doesn't release the actual number of cards printed.

My impression these days is that to the big companies, "super rare never to seen again get it now or else!!!" means 5,000 decks.twiscold wrote:I do wonder how limited are they, are they S&M v1-3 limited or white monarch "limited"? i think Blaine printed shit load of white lions B because they are marked. Look at the mythic decks like the Gold Arcane. Held aloft by angels on a platter, but they made 5,000. Sure, not all are in the market, but it's no more rare than many decks coming out now. Marketing can work miracles.

Re: Madison Players - from T11 and Daniel Madison
In all seriousness, what is with all of the marked cards hitting the market. As a magician,I'd like to truthfully say the cards I'm using aren't marked if asked or challenged. I can't see that well anyway so most of the marked cards aren't that useful to me.
Re: Madison Players - from T11 and Daniel Madison
I have a feeling that there were a good amount more than 5,000 printed.
I really like the look of these, faces and backs. I just with the fading was a little more the the edge of the card. They faded it too much.

Re: Madison Players - from T11 and Daniel Madison
I always enjoy having the advantage of marked cards, even if I don't need them for a particular routine. And $5.95 for a marked deck is a solid price. The clean design really appeals to me. It appears they faded as much as they did to preserve the white border.

Re: Madison Players - from T11 and Daniel Madison
Well, i went for a brick.T11 ships via first class mail so its more expensive (even though priority mail is faster and cheaper!)
I paid $24 USD for shipping 12 decks.
With the 15% discount on the brick it was a affordable deal.
Now for the cards.
I have to say they look like a copy of the White Lions.
Which is not bad,but nothing ground breaking here.
They exchanged the heads/faces of the court cards and customized them in this way...so everyone
Will still recognize them as standard courts.
Basically not much altered (like in the WL series).
The Ace of Spades is a nice design,it is not overpowered and not too simple.I think its a perfect fit for this theme.
The Jokers are custom as well and i appreciate 2 identical jokers.
Now for the back design : It looks simple for the eye.It will not go through like a casino deck of cards like the WL decks.
The marks are in the same position (for the suit) as on the WL decks but much easier to read!
Easier to learn but on the same way detectable during a riffle test. (Which the White Lions will not fail).
Lovely box design simple is the keyword.
In direct compare a clone of the White Lions for sure, just in T11 style.
My guess would be a 20k print run.

I thought this was hilarious. SilvaAce definitely sounded like a T11 employee, which is why it was funny. There were no harsh accusations or bashing on jujuforce's part, it was clearly a joke. Chill out captain.
