Harvest by Oath Playing Cards

Unread post by Curt »

A new wine themed 3 deck set from Lotrek. You can see the instagram post here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CBgtIinnYO3/

As someone who enjoys wine almost as much as cards, I can't wait to see what comes of this.

Crap. I was looking forward to not buying a Lotrek deck for a while in order to save money but that's out the window now. I love wine more than I love playing cards.

Maybe.

Probably the same.

First though after opening instagram this morning: f••• you Lotrék  - gimme some room to breath.
3 decks + Tempest with TGW (although I might pass on that) + if I'm not mistaken Royal Oath is still sheduled for this year...
Lets hope that there're some delays...

Have you forgotten about Codex, my friend?!

It's a Lotrek sh*tstorm this year, and I am dancing in that rain. I've got a smile on my face and a burning hole in my pants where my wallet used to be.

Of course! How can you drink wine with the jaw on the floor?

This will be a series of 3 decks, technically an industry first and not a too expensive one.
You will see pics of it of course, I don’t intend to make only mystery decks!

Wait... why not? Hmmm... (evil face)

Same here, but then you also have "series of 3 decks." So hoping it's around $20-25 per deck.

But, uh, 3-deck series already exist.

Unless.... *GASP* they transform together to form one large deck.

I'm sorry. I've had a lot of sugar.
This is me, though I really should update me.

I think he meant three decks, one that's nose bleed expensive being an "industry first", a second one that just regularly expensive, and a third deck that's not too expensive.

None of the three will be too expensive. Each deck is dedicated to a type of wine. The first will be Pinot Grigio, the next will be Shiraz and the last is to be decided. After I’ll open the barbells I’ll let you know...

Either way, it will be a joy to see the colours and foils used on these ones...

Not too expensive? Regarding Oath decks that means we're talking 30-60-ish?

Well, Lotrek printed DeNovo decks, and I think at the brick level they were $10 each. I also think the Ambassador standards at the brick level were like $10, which I think included shipping. I doubt we will see those prices. If nothing else, international shipping continues to go ever higher. Anyway, Lotrek has produced several non-foil decks for well under $30. However, if he is producing even a one hot foil deck, I think the cheapest has been around $37 including shipping. I remember Lotrek had a Black Friday sale a couple of years ago with the Sanctus on sale for $60 each. I am wishing I picked up more than one when they were on sale...

If I recall correctly the Chronos Players have hot foil tuck case and hot foil back and go for $25? I’m hoping for something a bit more elaborate though :)

Then Lotrek can also have a second release for Harvest later on for sparkling wine and dessert wine. Also a super limited and expensive version of the dessert wine edition, the Ice Wine. The printing of the Ice Wine deck will be so complex that it can only be tried once a year and the printing has to be just right or the deck has been ruined.
