Regarding eye roll;
Strech goal 1: second colour ed.
Strech goal 2: third colour ed. with metallic inks
Strech goal 3: gilded ed.
Strech goal 4: super limited ed.
Strech goal 5: limited super duper rare gilded collector's edition...

Good ones:
Coins/dealer's coins are always nice imo. The quality has to be good though; e.g. KWP's coins - designed with thought put into them and not just a logo on a coin.

Special stuff is always something I appreciate aswell; stuff that not everybody does.

I like stretch goals that offer free deck upgrades (foil, metallic inks, improved tuck, etc) to the decks you already backed. It makes sense because the extras are only economical for the creator at scale; it's nice because you pay nothing extra and get a better deck than you originally backed. Faunae did this, and it was great seeing more backers funding it because my own pledge benefited by it.

One might even guess that it results in a positive feedback loop, where more people back it, improving the deck on offer, resulting in more backers.

If you want to see probably a great set of stretch goals, look at The Parlour campaign.

Pretty much what already has been said by Harvonsgard, Outsider and Bradius. Lorenzo does some of the best stretch goals in my opinion. I really like the stretch goals that add things like custom Carat Cases like the Pollux.

I'd say that the best stretch goals are ones that help grow your brand and strengthen the community you're creating with a kickstarter campaign. Things that are given to every backer as a thanks are most often going to be greeted with a smile and a nod toward the creator. Things that are "unlocked" for people to buy is the store offering up more. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes it's a bad thing. Creating a chase item during the campaign can be beneficial injecting a few more bucks, but done at the wrong time is a cash grab and generally frowned upon. Unlock a free sticker or new art on a joker or tuck box embossing/foiling before a chase item is offered up is a good idea in my opinion. Keeps the people smiling.

Whatever is done, best not to alienate backers if at all possible. The funding goal is the point. The prize is the product that's being funded, having it fulfilled. Extra's stretch goals that don't enhance that product are just more... That more, well it better have a point to your product, brand or for your supporters. Funding though, yea, that's the real stretch goal.

I can honestly say this and I think most people can. I've never backed a product because it had a cool stretch goal, not ever.
TL:DR It's completely up to you.
We can still be friends.
I actually like playing cards.
We live in interesting times.

Another kickstarter producer that has some good stretch goals is Lo Scarabeo. He does Tarot decks, so probably not a lot of interest here. However, the Visconte Madrone recreated deck he shipped last year was a serious contender for Deck of the Year in my opinion. It is that good.

I am still awaiting my copy of his last kickstarter Groetia, and currently has a new Kickstarter, Notoria that is currently in the active funding stage for a few more days. Below are the really neat stretch goals. Again, as folks mentioned, these are additive to most or all backers. In fact, the cards will be available later in a retail edition, but will lack all of these stretch goals. I know some folks don't like the 3D rendering of the cards, but again, just an example of some good stretch goals.

Design Imperator and Nicolai has very good stretch goals. Most of the stuff, you automatically get once met. Bonus jokers, cards, bells and whistles. You wanna add on other stuff, you also have that option.

Here's one from the Helheim KS campaign.

Good feedback. This is a question I have as well (and found this thread by searching the same question).

I personally love stretch goals when backing campaigns. I'm mostly into board games, so I love extra figures, improved quality contents, add-ons that help improve play and convenience. For cards, this translates to unlocking add-ons, free extras like Carat sleeves, and the improvements to quality such as metallic inks, embossing, uv coats, and other things that require scale to make feasible.

We're planning to make unlocking a new joker design as a stretch goal, not just for the sake of having a stretch goal, but because the illustration isn't finished, and we won't need to finish it unless the stretch goal is reached.
