Changes always feel odd at first. But in my opinion, it looks much better and much cleaner now.

The look and functionality is way better. I've been ready for a change like this for a very long time.

There were several things that did not work with the new version of phpBB but overall we are in much better shape.

The old & vulnerable php interpreter v5.4 had several weaknesses and was almost certainly how we were being hacked.

Since all you see is the result, the starting point was a horror show. Someone had mixed junk files in with the system files, but fortunately didn't damage the main DB files with users and posts.

Been a bit busy lately, so apologies for being absent. I agree with it feeling somewhat unsettling, but I see a lot of new functionality here. Particularly as a mod, we seem to now be getting notifications for posts needing approval and such, so first posts in the more obscure sections should now get noticed much faster.
