Now this is what I call a gem out of nowhere!!!! Definitely high YES for me
NEON is the thing of now.
However, just a note on the new printer:
For this project, I will use the Liquorice Press who are a UK based company that have more than 35 years of experience in printing all manner of printed work (including playing cards).
The card specs are as follows:
※Printed on 280 gsm blind core stock (the exact same stock used by the large playing card producers).
※Linen embossed finish which creates an air cushion to ensure cards glide across one another.
※Specially engineered hard lamination to protect the artwork and further decrease friction between cards.
Because of the unique ink, a final prototype will be thoroughly and meticulously checked, tested and evaluated before any full production run is ordered.
In the unlikely scenario that there is an issue with the quality or standards of the cards printed by the Liquorice Press, I will use Cartamundi as a back-up producer to print the cards and still use the Liquorice Press to produce the tuck case.
If I have to use Cartamundi, it may not be possible to support the specialist ink on the backs and the faces of the cards. But should this be the case, I will contact Cartamundi's custom deck team and see if there is something we can do.
