Don't worry so much about how and when I enjoy movies.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

It's okay to have an entirely illogical perception.

It's funny how you always confuse your way of thinking with the one true and only logical way.

It's ironic that you didn't think about the hypocrisy of what you were submitting prior to typing it.

Logic: Knowing the future reduces entertainment (that's why 'surprise' is a form of entertainment').

Emotion: "Don't concern yourself..."

I wasn't concerned - just wondering. Don't take it personally, dude.

Fixed that for you. Dunno why you're overestimating your impact here so much. What leads you to the assumption that I take anything personal? Quite the opposite, it is entertaining that you assume there is a right and wrong, logical and illogical or however you wanna call it, in highly subjective fields. It's like arguing about the right way to have sex.

It's beyond my understanding how someone can be so incorrect so often.

You're confusing "assumption" with "fact". I understand that English isn't your first language, though.

False equivalency makes no impact in this analysis. Funny how you removed the factual context of how surprise and entertainment are often synonymous. I wonder why?

I'll take the pot shot as a concession.

Illogical does not mean incorrect. Feelings are illogical - it does not make them wrong.

You took my initial comment about being illogical personally and made a stupid political reference in response (one that doesn't align with what I support). It was unnecessary. I can enjoy re-watching movies without the suspense of surprise. You can enjoy a movie while already being spoiled. Spoiling it makes it less entertaining, though. That's all. No need to get your panties in a bunch, dude.

Holy Moly. I watched The Joker on my flight home. Phoenix was f*cking brilliant. I'm glad I watched it but I have no desire to see it again. Definitely one of those slow-burn movies and I wish JP had a better cast around him. I'm still chewing on this one and I think I will be for a good week...

So did JP deserve the Oscar for the Joker? I believe he did. It was not an easy role to get into and the research he had to do to get the forced laughter seem real. His descent into madness felt so real that it was painful and also seem so natural for him to turn into the Joker.

Absolutely. Of the nominees, Adam Driver was the only other person who I felt deserved the nod. JP made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I pitied his character and understood why he did what he did. The forced laughter was haunting, especially paired with his obvious struggle to contain it in inappropriate situations. Everything felt so authentic, which is why I think once is enough for me. Bravo to JP

So, I've been wanting to see this all along just because I love the way the character has been developed, and I truly believe that the character will not stay "dead" after the events of Endgame. I expect this movie to set up how she comes back. The trailers have not really done it for me, although I like this last trailer more than some of the others. When the people you are trying to save are coming to kill you because they don't control their own will, how do you get out of that situation? They are trying to kill you while you are trying to not kill them. Good tension for me on that front.

(The one thing that annoys me is the uncanny valley version of General Ross, who just looks so freakin' CGI pseudo-realistic.)

But, yeah, the trailers have been less than captivating for me, but I'm still very excited to see the movie. I'm there opening weekend (along with my kids.)

No way in Hel.

The final trailer has increased my interest, but I still have very little thought of seeing this in-theaters.

If they do bring Natasha back, I suspect that most people are going to jump ship. The lasting stakes of Infinity War and Endgame would break comic book tropes and further increase intrigue of the MCU. If they don't make good on their promises, then what's the point?

Created by a non-binary person named Daniel Kibblesmith. I can't make up that name.

After listening to this person, someone please explain to me how anyone could consider this person the most eligible bachelor (that would have been Ellie.com according to his page on Wikipedia).

The reviews on YouTube is truly and sadly entertaining. Now, imagine you are in charge of Marvel and someone introduced you to Daniel Kibblesmith as a new creative leader for Marvel...my reaction would have been rather dramatic on Lorth Needa that recommended Daniel to me. "Apology accepted Captain Needa."

This trailer is getting absolutely blasted on YouTube. I can't think of the last time I saw that many more dislikes (154K!) compared to likes (3.5K!). This doesn't look polished or even that compelling. Nothing wrong with a progressive perspective in the industry, but this is really bizarre.

This brutal comment is pretty much on point:
This is what happens when you think Twitter represents society as a whole.

What's brutal about that comment? Looks pretty neutral/objective to me.
I didn't watch the trailer and don't intend to do any research since I don't have any eggs in the comic world basket, but at first glance I was like, "is this serious or just a franchise from a troll that wants to trigger some comic nerds?"
Anyhow, isn't that something older? If I remember correctly a friend showed me this two years ago.

I would recommend Superman: Year One (only 3 issues - there may be a hardcover that has all of them). Issue #1 takes some adjustment to the artwork and dialogue, but I really loved #2 and #3.

I'm fairly blind to new titles. I only really follow current stories of Superman, Batman, and Spawn. I haven't caught up on Batman, but heard it gets truly confusing around issue #70. Superman was recently rebooted (again, ugh) - but the DC Rebirth (Vol. 5?) was great IMO.

Action Comics and Detective Comics are consistently good, IMO. I read mostly back-issues of older stories.

Okies, I will have a look at it. Thanks.

See what I bagged around 3 weeks back.

A collector was selling a part of his collection and I got these 3 almost like new comics (two of these are Collector's edition) at AUD$25 (+ $10 shipping).
