Hello everyone!
I am both a card enthusiast and a full time realtor and I thought it time to bridge my two worlds and I am working on designing my own deck!!
My plans at first were to only produce a small batch with MPC for clients but I am so excited with my project that I want to share my passion with the world and launch a Kickstarter for 500 decks at a minimum. Planning to go with Cartamundi since also amazing quality and don't know if I can hit the USPCC min levels of 1,000+
Can you please let me know your thoughts on the current design and if this is something that might appeal to cardists, magicians and collectors worldwide?
This was my first draft once it got to a point where I got excited about the project:
This is a version that my designer just sent me:
I feel that although the vertical little house orientation may be cleaner from a design perspective, the version in V1 where the house is on the sides has an AMAZING ARROW EFFECT that I think is exciting, refreshing and new!
Please let me know your thoughts on my project and I am glad to also share current concepts for tuck case, custom ace of spades and jokers
Thanks so much and look forward to being more active in the wonderful world of UC!!
Aron

Hi Aron, and welcome to UC!
I took the liberty of embedding the images into your post from the links, hope that's ok
Speaking for myself, the most positive change that you could do is make the back design "two-way" or mirrored. The big R in the center makes it very "one-way", which doesn't look good when the cards are shuffled and mixed up.
Also, I prefer the orientation of the house in the first image, it makes more sense for it to be that way when it comes to fans and spreads.

Re: Real estate themed deck!
Hi Aron! I'm glad you brought this over to UC and I think it's a great idea for a business - especially in a business where it helps to stand out.
It seems like this deck will have a cardistry focus and I think your designer has done a great job to create a unique fanning visual with the home icon. I agree with MagikFingerz that the logo icon would work best as a two-way design and v1 is more interesting. It looks like a dark gray back and I dig it.
From a collector standpoint, I would have to see the full concept as I typically go for fully-custom decks. If this will be a cardistry deck with essentially standard faces (nothing wrong with that for cardistry!), I will pass, but I think this is a solid start. Thanks for sharin', Aron

Thanks MagicFingerz and I appreciate you embedding the images for me, it was my first time posting on here and was used to using those Imgur links on Reddit!MagikFingerz wrote:Hi Aron, and welcome to UC!

The first design was done 100% by me before approaching my designer that helps me with other non-card related projects. I also felt that the first orientation made the most sense from a cardistry perspective as it will look incredible in different fans and flourishes.
I also gave much thought to the center logo, issue is that is our logo (check out http://www.teampinto.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) so I can't change the logo. The only thing that I could do if I wanted symmetry would be to have to inverted circles but that would be too much like the BCA V1 and I wanted to go for something different and unique. That is why I was thrilled when I brought in the houses for symmetry, had the circle dead centre for a form of symmetry, but if spinning on your finger it will have a neat effect!
Here is the BCA V1 for those not familiar, I don't think this type of layout would be better than the one that I have currently.
Thoughts?
I had my designer make a new version of current back and will share with the group once I have it, but it is essentially the left version with the thicker borders and the house on the right design which has an even better arrow effect!
Thanks for your support and pleasure to be here!

The version on the left was my original concept and I am glad to say that my friends on IG are also on the same page and glad that we all prefer that orientation.
Regarding the rest of the deck, I am glad to share as it comes along, but I will have custom Ace of Spades, customs jokers (those i guarantee will surprise you and be as uniqe as can be, for better or for worst), obviously custom tuck case and 2 ad cards.
Once I complete this, I will see if I have time, energy and budget to either play with colours of courts or even go a touch more custom, but they will definitely be tradition courts with colour and/or slight variation and not completely custom courts for this first project.
Thanks for your feedback, appreciate it!

Not much going on on that card back. While I can appreciate and like designs like Dots or Echoes, this definitely isn't for me. I doubt that the planned customizations on the faces will redeem this back design for me.

Re: Real estate themed deck!
It definitely won’t be for everyone, especially since tied to a personal brand. It also doesn’t help that I am a big fan on simple, like A1, Fontaine, Nihilism, etc... Hoping that others will love final version as much as I will and see the heart and thought put into it.Harvonsgard wrote:Not much going on on that card back. Re: Real estate themed deck!
I understand what you mean about not changing the logo, and also not wanting it to be similar to so many other dual circle designs out there. But I don't think just the house element adds enough to make it an interesting design for most of the people on this forum. I'm pretty sure it's possible to create a design that can incorporate the logo in a mirrored way without looking like another deck, but I'm no artist.
In any case, I wish you good luck!
