Not really imo. Just rename that thread to Pi/Pie series by Kingswildproject and we are good. No offense but I expect nothing mindblowing from this series. A fun little project but nothing more or less.

From what I've seen, nope. It is indeed the back design.

Correct, but then again, baking chocolate used for chocolate pie can also come in powder , chips or granules form, besides just bars. Of course bars make the most sense when you're doing a deck of cards.

I could also be getting to pedantic in my disappointment. But that just goes to show how high JR's standards have been that an above average or average JR deck can be considered disappointing and when another designer did the choc bar back design better IMHO. (better only in terms of realism)

Yah, I can understand that. I do see it similar. The tuck boxes are great in execution - good materials and nice foiling - and the original Pi was a nice dabble into the world of cardistry decks from Jackson, no doubt, but overall this series, for me, is a let down as well.
Jackson has set the bar pretty high, if we as collector's are going meh on decks that are still better designed than 80% of the market  .

I look forward to this Pi series. It's fun, creative and similar to The Planets decks when it allows you to be a completist. We'll get a free deck for completing the pie chart.

My thing is that I thought the theme of the "Pi" series was circles, not rectangles. I guess the theme is borderless design with simple geometric shapes.

It's probably too early to judge the entire series on what could be the weakest release though, looking forward to the next one.

I can see how the back design is sort of a mixture of cardistry shapes while retaining the theme - it's not my favorite, but I don't have any problems with it

But am I crazy or are the courts the exact same as Plum Pi (and Pi...?) :? I figured there would at LEAST be a recolor each time to match the theme...

Dunno if crazy but apparently colour blind :P ;) .
OG Pi has bright yellow and blue courts. Plum Pi(e) has courts with green, orange and purple accents. And this one is yellow and brown.

Obviously the best way to depict chocolate (in a deck) is in a chocolate bar form. For the back design, I guess the yellow was used to make it stand out than the usual solid color candy car. Most real bars are solid but it's some that has different looks/colors.

No worries I got your back :D . I'm wasn't that sure either since I don't own any of the Pi decks. The vibrant yellow and blue combo from the OG stuck in my mind though.
