Hello Everyone,

I have started collecting playing cards about 10 years ago. But have been stopped for few years in the middle, cause I was traveling around the world for over 2 years.
Have been very busy for my work and life, and started collecting again around 2014, but have been collecting very slow.

Mainly I have been collecting vintage casino decks, and some of the new decks depend on the looking. Personally I like these rare and nice looking decks.

I have been to UC for almost 4 years already.

I will update this post randomly. And please feel free to common any of the pictures, would like to learn a lot from you guys!

So I will start with these 2 pictures (update 4/25/2019).
These are my favorite vintage casino sets. All of them are sealed. Hotel Sahara and MGM Grand are box sealed, which are very rare.
Especially the Hotel Sahara set, I have never seen it before, didn't know it exist until then.
Just added Double Logo Frontier Hotel and Harolds Club. The Double Logo FH is not sealed, both decks are open, never used but no cellophane for both decks.
Was not easy to get the Harolds Club, lost one auction, but won the 2nd auction, which is lucky. This is one of my favorite back design, very cool!

Just back home and do a quick update.
Quickly grab out 2 decks from cabinet and take pictures.

I got this 1st edition Black Ghost long time ago, which that time was very popular, lots of people were buying and selling that.
For the IAOCP deck, i saw it randomly on AOP for a little over $60 I think? Unfortunately I don't have the IAOCP book and uncut sheet, which I'm still looking for the brand new ones. But somehow IAOCP has increased price very quick in these few years. Lucky to get it awhile back.

Usually I keep my decks unopened if it's new when I got them.

Since this expensive box has just arrived, I will take few pictures and upload here.

So this is what they called Bespoke Box Set. And for sure many of you already knew this item. I have been thinking for a few hours to decide to get it. I'm very into the box looking more than the decks. I like those box has magnetic locking. Especially with piano paint on it.

So after I received it, the first thing I realized is this box is heavy. But since my daily work is surrounding with the most expensive pianos. I would say, this finish is ok, not too surprised. Decks are fine, since my goal was the box, not the decks. Probably I will put some rare decks in the box for the future.

Those are some nice unboxing pics of the Standards "bespoke" boxed set. I just got one of the black decks, but I found I liked it more than I'd been expecting.

I had to go back and reread the item listing to see the mention of "piano-black" finish on the box. I probably either didn't read the description too closely (since I wasn't planning on buying one) or else thought "piano-black" was just a fancy description of the color (like jet-black, coal-black, etc.). But you're saying this is literally the kind of finish they'd use on grand pianos? Is it just a high-gloss enamel or lacquer or what?

I would say this is piano style High-Gloss paint on the box. Usually we call it Ebony Polish Polyester on the piano. But I don't know how many layers on the box. Well it looks good so far.

How much extra space is there in each slot when you put the decks in? Is it a snug fit? What's on the bottom of the lid, is it just wood? Thanks

It fits perfectly, I would say it's a snug fit. All the slots have leather covering them.
The bottom of the lid is also a piece of leather, the same material as the slots, you can see my attached picture.
The leather feels like my Desk Pad, which my desk pad was made by heavy-duty durable PU leather. I guess something very similar.

New Update 4/13/2019

I was cleaning the cards storage, so able to take out some of my favorite decks.


These are one of my favorites, 2 sets of sealed Sahara Tahoe playing cards. Going to get another case for the other set.

And then, this is a set of Imperial Palace, brand new sealed, which is very rare, cause most of the IP you can find are already canceled. Was lucky to get a set of new decks.
There are other looking IP as well(different logo), but so far haven't seen any brand new ones.

Was too busy in the past few weeks. Also since this is my birthday month, lots of parties were going on. And planning on few vacations for the next few months.
Haven't bought anything for awhile, but still have some pictures to share with you guys!

So this time I'm sharing these 2 decks of Carson City Nuggets with you.
This is one of my favorite design and color for a pair casino decks(I know there is a purple deck as well, but I just didn't see the new one for sale yet)
I got them from 2 separate auctions but same seller. Was lucky enough to win both.
They don't have cellophane, but both are still sealed by the stamp.
Good enough for me!

I have never researched in finish, also I don't have JN since it's too expensive for me

6/1/2019 Update

Was too busy for my work and social life, took awhile to have time and dig out some decks to share with you guys.


This time I want to share with you with these 'FC's - Friars Club of California

So starting with FC no head logo version. Which is FC Black and Orange version.

Then it's the Dark Blue FC version with background under the head logo version. It has Beverly Hills address on it.

After that, there are 2 different Orange FC. One with Beverly Hills address, one without the address.
And on the Ace of Spade, the year codes are different, so I guess they were made in different years for the club to use.

And here is the picture with different FC version with background available and no background.

It's very rare to see the brand new unopened head logo version, was lucky to get one awhile ago.
The other orange FC were already opened when I bought it. So still looking for the brand new ones.

A quick update 6/3/2019

I took out the Bespoke Box Set, and removed the original 3 decks from the box, since I'm not too interested in that 3 decks.
And then I found my early original Smoke & Mirror V1 V2 V3 pairs and put inside the box, I think they look good in the box.

Have been very busy for the past 6 months, vacation traveling and lots of works, finally have a time to sit down and check out some decks of cards from my collection.
Lately I'm very slow on the collection, less decks came in, and just much more other things to work on.

Going to share with you for this very SPECIAL casino deck, some casino cards collectors call it the 'HOLY GRAIL'.

So here it is, the Silver Nugget playing cards, one of the most rarest casino playing cards.

The feel of the deck is very soft, the elasticity is not strong, not like the Golden Nugget playing cards.
And it's interesting that the Ace of Spade is Bicycle 808, kinda funny.

The front of the tuck looks like the back design of the cards .
