Hello all

Unread post by oakc123 »

I am new to cardistry, and I am enjoying something to take my mind work. I am still working on the basics. And know only a few things. I have been looking for a good set of beginner tutorials, if you have links send them my way. Thanks again.

Thanks that is very helpful. I can do the Charlier cut about 80% of the time and the scissor cut about 60%. I don't seem to have the reach to for the thumb cut, any suggestions there?

In the beginning you could try using your other hand to get the deck as deep into the palm as you can to improve your fingers' reach, then you can later work on getting the deck into that position without the assistance. Also doing it with less than a full deck should make it easier. If you can do it with say half a deck, then you can gradually add more cards until you can do it with a full deck.

That's something you can use for any new flourish; everything gets easier with less cards ;)
