The faces are very nice. I‘m very curious to see how the courts will look like. I really like the look of the back design. That water colour like green background is intrigueing.

Thank you! The deck suits are as follows:

Hearts: Ocean / Jellyfish
Diamonds: Forest / Fox
Clubs: Mountain / Pika
Spades: Sky / Raven

Here are the hearts, although a few of them will get edits down the road:

Loved your work on Trickster. These are gorgeous as an art deck, and I can't wait to see more.

Thank you for sharing this update, Beth!

I immediately thought of the Olympic Peninsula after seeing your landscapes. This deck is gorgeous and does the PNW proud. Can't wait to see more.

EDIT: Here is Beth's Instagram if you want to follow her art and check out a few more of the court card portraits. So good!

Nice update. I was just recently thinking about these and what happened to this project.

Finished the number cards! I'll be redoing the face cards, and changing the 'frame' so they're visually distinct from numbers immediately. I figured with everything fully illustrated there needed to be some distinction between numbers and faces besides image content.

That's definitely an art deck. Pity that the cards can't be joined together to form 1 large picture. Some of the cards look like they almost could, like the 2-4 D, 5-7 D,

The faces of the cards look fantastic! I think the back is a little lacking though compared to the faces

I got my test decks in the mail! They are super functional, which I was worried about due to the number cards being pretty non-standard, but playing with them was really easy. I have about 10 card images to edit (mainly a light adjustment), fewer than I expected! After those edits I'll order again, and if those decks are ok, I'll move on to USPCC. Progress! Image

Hey Beth, I am glad I wasn't the only one to get caught out by things printing a lot darker then I envisaged. Glad the project is progressing well. Any new images to share?

A few things contribute to the nerves!
1) I am so, so, so publicity shy; trying to market this has been very difficult. I do also believe that stretching one's boundaries can be good, though, so here's to growing a bit? A slightly less introverted me would be okay!
2) My only frame of reference for Kickstarter is board games, so I don't have a good idea of what playing card metrics are! I am recording all the data though, so if I have to relaunch or if I do another deck in the future, I'll have a solid concept of the numbers!
