Cassette storage?

Unread post by arjun1616 »

how are you.. i am writing you this to ask something about deck displays .So if you could tell me that it would be great help. I live in India and wanted to get those cassette storages for my deck display but couldn't find any. i found some on ebay but all of them were in USA and the shipping included costed like 80 usd. so just wanted to know where else i could find that or some other way to display like 30-40 decks...

yours,
arjun :ugdance:

Those are hard to come by somewhat, even here in the state, and for me personally, I do not like the look of them. If you are looking for a cheap solution that is more available, look for DVD/Blu-ray multimedia storage. Most of these are deep enough to lay one deck down longest side front-to back stacked upwards and still have a bit over an inch to stand up a deck in front for displaying. I've been looking at the one below, but I have a lot of decks I need to store and show. But I am including the picture so you can see the dimensions.

You can, of course, look for smaller ones to suit your needs, but I like these.

Hey kem,

Thanks for the reply
I didn’t quite understand what you meant. So do you mean that in one of the compartment of that picture 1 deck will lay with its front facing up or perpendicular because I can’t understand how the deck would fit...It looks pretty neat tho. Thanks.

The depth of the shelf is 4 1/2 inches and standard decks placed in this format are 4 3/8 inches. It's not ideal, but if you have a massive collection it allows you to stack behind (especially if you have multiples) and display face out the best you have or favorites. You could even add a catch-lip on the end to ensure the face-out deck stays secure. The problem I have always run into is that anything specifically made to display cards is way over-priced for my liking because it is a niche market....which leaves looking for other options, such as cassette display cases or DVD/Multimedia displays.
