Custom but repeating courts.

I agree that this deck could be a little better. Maybe there'll be a V2 someday? I usually hate that but if it's tweaked a bit like you suggest then I think that would be nice. But I'm also okay with the tuck and "inside" being different since I'm really a tuckist after all.STLBluesNut wrote:I really like the cuteness of this deck. I have been seeing it on insta for quite some time. I was looking forward to getting this deck until he released pictures of that tuck.
I understand the idea behind it but it does not fit with the deck in artistic style at all. The cards are very cutesy and cartoony to have this horrible realistic tuck box of 25 cent ramen packaging design. For what? A gimmick? Because other decks like Snackers and squeezers are doing it?
I think I'll save some money and just put an authentic ramen package on my shelf for a quarter, since that is what he was going for.

I also own and like Snackers and Squeezers so I guess I prove your point.STLBluesNut wrote:Well, being a tuckist then, there is absolutely no reason to purchase this tuck. You can get the same design at Walmart for a quarter. IMO of course. The only reason to buy this deck is the cutesy design inside. He really dropped the ball on this.
But... see as the designer seems to be a pretty big face on insta at least, I'm sure there won't be too much problem selling these from a popularity contest or hype point of view.

You're right. I stand corrected here. Since the posture and colours are so similar, I didn't take a closer look and didn't realize that he changed details on the courts.STLBluesNut wrote:I wanted to say so before, but wanted to verify, I wouldn't consider these repeating courts. Pretty close though.
Pun intended?Decknowledgy wrote:And then people are showing a fondness for this deck?
I think this is a step in the right direction. The shapes are much better than before, The layout is much cleaner, and the fonts are clear and aligned.Harvonsgard wrote:There y'all go.
Not surprised at all. The whole idea of this deck was to mock the OPC "-er" series like Peelers and Snackers initially, and he also did a few other renders to mock a few other brands. He even said it very subtlely himself in the campaign:LasVegasCards wrote:Hard pass. Creator is an ass too.
Thing is, is Noodlers better than OPC?What started as a joke turned into a reality when I posted a poll on Instagram. I had 3 designs for playing cards and of the 3, Noodlers were the clear favorite.

Designed with cardists, magicians, collectors and ramen lovers in mind, Noodler's Playing Cards will hopefully make you hungry for more. The name "Noodlers" is a nod to another series of playing cards.. hence the "-ers."
