The Gentleman Wake presents... a worthy successor?
SO obviously we are still knee deep in production and will be subsequently fulfilling the Parlour deck... No plans to have a new campaign until those with rewards have received their items. HOWEVER, I've already been putting the wheels into motion on a follow up project that will hopefully lead the TGW brand further along. My vision has always been for the brand to be a curation of the best in the world of playing cards design and artwork. TO that end I needed to find an artist I felt would be a worthy successor to the amazing Lorenzo Gaggiotti. I think I've found that person and JUST inked the deal that will take us onward to the next deck from the Gentleman Wake.
I can't share too many details as the ink is barely dry BUT I can share this teaser...

That's great news! Kevin's work on the Standards set was incredible and his other work is just amazing. Fantastic choice for collaboration, Omar.

I think that Kevin Cantrell great choice and his style really compliments your asthetics. I can’t wait to see what happens.

GW Great choice in Mr. Cantrell. I have the bespoke set of Standards and I am anticipating my Parlour order. You and Kevin will make a perfect combination and I cant wait to see what you come up with. What ever it is I know Im In.

Ok some updates. Got the first draft of the successor cardbacks from Kevin. Looking great for an early draft. He’s been swamped with work so my timetable on that deck may be a little pushed. However, in the meantime I’ve agreed to another collab so that means two TGW decks in 2020. Perhaps three with a parlour refresh late in the year with Lorenzo.
The Cantrell collab is entitled “The Successor”
The lotrek one... inspired by a Houdini like figure presenting a early magic extravaganza is...well here’s a very early sketch to whet the appetite.

OK, Omar. I think it's time for a bacon deck with class. Perhaps bacon in a smoking jacket? Corduroy pants? Let's test this plan of yoursTheGentlemanWake wrote:That's the plan.

TGW x Lotrék ... holy smokes. Can't wait for this one. Wasn't in for the Parlour and will most likely pass on the Cantrell collab as well. But this one is more than tempting.
