Re: "CHARMERS" playing cards by Lotrek and Kellar O' Neil
I'll be fine with just my green and purple deck than to get a brick for the red deck. It could bump up funding to reach the signature deck.

Re: "CHARMERS" playing cards by Lotrek and Kellar O' Neil
I'm....not very excited about all these colors tbh, but I guess it's a decent tactic to attract more backers, or for EB backers to increase their pledge to a full brick. I'm considering it, but I'm also realizing that I will most likely never use up a whole brick, and I don't want to have to back for a brick just to get all the colors just to turn around and resell em. I dunno, something about having a limited edition recolor deck behind what is essentially a $170USD paywall doesn't sit well with me, just like how I didn't want to spend $150 for a Gold Artisan or Vintage Chicken Nuggets. I know the red deck will be offered after the campaign, and I'm sure the campaign will get funded regardless, just hoping someone would explain to me how this is any different from "Hype" decks that do a recoloring and are met with backlash about being lazy cashgrabbers. I'm not AGAINST recolors at all, just seems counter-intuitive to have the classic red colorway (or blue if that happens) as the more rare edition, especially for what is supposed to be a deck for Magicians. I'd have expected a gaff pack with some different colored backs instead of full deck recolors. Anyways, just my opinion, maybe it'll change in a few weeks time.

Re: "CHARMERS" playing cards by Lotrek and Kellar O' Neil
I don't really get the relatively minor 'backlash' against the red deck being included with bricks. Both on IG and in the projects comments it's crazy just how many people seem to not have read the entire update before commenting. Let me put this into perspective, there are 250 red decks, there are currently 29 brick level backers, and those in the EB 2 tier may as well just change to the brick level rather than upgrade because I checked and it's the same total anyway (EB 1 backers aren't a consideration as they didn't even want two colours in the first place). Those of us who can't back for a brick can quite safely assume we'll have our chance for the red after the campaign ends because there may easily be 150+ left over. Would I have a different view if it looked like there would be 200+ brick backers? Probably yes, but that isn't the case right now, even though I do think there will be a bump after christmas I don't think it will an extreme one. Including limited variations only with higher tiers is very common.

Re: "CHARMERS" playing cards by Lotrek and Kellar O' Neil
For US backers, I will put this in perspective. If you get a brick add on, you also get a 13th red deck free. The additional cost is $157, or $157/13=$12.08 per deck, and 12 of those will be cold foil on front and back and designed by Lotrek. The 13th deck will be a red deck. I think that sounds like a great deal overall. Heck, even if you buy a brick tier, it works out in the US to $13.69 per deck, which is still a great deal. I don't think going up to a brick is a tough sell in my book. However, I get that it may be too much for some. It would be helpful to know how much the extra red decks will sell for. Currently there are 308 backers, so odds are fair that folks could pick on a red deck if limited to one deck, maybe two. If it is wide open and fairly cheap, then you will need to be fast to get them before the profiteers or deep pocket collectors (Hey, why are you staring at me?) poach them.

Re: "CHARMERS" playing cards by Lotrek and Kellar O' Neil
I read the update, but haven't really been following the campaign all that closely. Tbh when I commented, I still thought it was supposed to just be the one green color so the purple color sort of caught me by surprise too lol. Felt like the deck didn't need different colorways. Also, just thought I should point out the one render of the red deck still has some green on it
Anyways, don't get me wrong, I still WANT to increase my pledge so I can get one JUST because it's more rare, which means the strategy of including limited variations with higher tiers works. It's just easier to find reasons not to at the moment.

Now THAT is going in the "Pro" column. The Parlour brick box is fantastic!Lotrek wrote:Well, after the brick box is revealed, it will become more difficult to find them!
Plus seeing that YOU'LL be printing the red version... there's also a few easy reasons going for it too lol. *Congrats on funding!

These are the first renderings of the custom brick boxes. I guess I won't stop adding details -as I always do- but this is the general idea. The brick boxes will have embossing and 2 foils (gold plus green or purple) and each backer will be able to determine whether they want green or purple.

I'm not charmed by the brick box.
I don't own any brick boxes but I'm open to any future release that looks good. If there's an Oath Playing Card box that's blinged out then maybe.

That new red gilded deck is looking really good. I rather pay a "high price" for it (under $100) than to spend $170 to buy 12 decks and then don't know what to do with the other 9-10 decks.

Anyone or Lotrek know what deck uses the same stock and finish with the red version?
Chronos or Less Gold/Silver? Or is it totally knew?

According to the KS:
Printed by OathPlayingCards on German 310gsm casino grade stock, will have a very shiny metallic gold and Lotrek's new AMAZING finish, Maestro V2! It will be the first time this finish hits the market and it is an improved version of his previous finishes.

Thanks Stag. Please keep in mind the new plan is for the ungilded red deck to be printed in cold foil by Cartamundi like the green and purple decks. The red gilded will be the one printed by Oath playing cards. Also, I think the red gilded is the first gilded deck that Lotrek has issued.

Hmmm, they might want to edit the Kickstarter than as it's a bit misleading (this is main copy text).
I would have expected "both" decks to be printed by the same printer and then one sent out to be gilded. This seems.... complex.
