What? Seal those babies up. They are like Chastity Belts for playing cards
If you want to play with your cards, that is what the display decks are for.

Nope. I won't buy a second deck to open one and save one. I care not about resale value. I don't like them covering the art that is on the box and having to cut them open. Unfortunately, even if you can get them peeling of without the seal tearing into little piece, it pulls foil off the tuck and/or leaves the adhesive behind.
Plus, most of the time they barely fit the theme of the tuck and are purposefully contrasting and clashing colors that don't look good.
Edit: I know I am fighting a losing battle as they are traditional, but I won't stop praising those that use alternative or no seals or stop crabbing about those that use tuck flap seals lol.

I’m not a fan of the adhesive but I usually use seals aswell. All joking aside this deck is great! Keep up the good work!

+1 That's what it's about ! So much more pleasure to rip them open when they are sealed. It is even more satisfying when the cut is just perfect.Bradius wrote:What? Seal those babies up. They are like Chastity Belts for playing cards
The way I personally see it is that a huge majority has the back design on the side where the seal is, and that is again to a huge majority a two way back therefore, even if the seal would cover 50% of the complete back of the box no art would be missing since it is just a mirror of what you see on the other 50%. On the top of the flap, there is not really a lot going on in most cases, so again not a real loss in my book. But each to their own.STLBluesNut wrote:I don't like them covering the art that is on the box
The only thing I don't get regarding seals, are seals on the cello e.g. some of the Federal52 or the Maduro deck, like what does that supposed to do there?

Lol. I just praised Immy Smith for cello seals recently on the Insecta deck. I think this is another good compromise. Sealists still get their silly sticker and still has the tamper proof properties. For those that prefer to have the beautiful tuck compromised, that silly sticker is inside. Best of both worlds!
