I don't think you guys appreciate Bruno enough. He's like UC's very own poet laureate, or delphic oracle.

(That poets laureate have traditionally been paid in casks of wine, and pythonesses intoxicated with oleander, is, perhaps, an aspect of the analogy into which one ought not read too much.)

Deep in this thread are comments of which the posters should be ashamed.
Accusations of fraud, attempts to destabilize/mis-inform, posts where some simply highlight their ignorance. More.

Appologia ?
Let us not be holding our collective breath.

Its obvious that VDX commented for our better knowledge, nothing more.
As he shows, positivity/positiveness is its own reward.

So is treachery.
Some here think the undermining of good intent a positive attainment.
Some here have been dis-abused of that outlook.
Some here simply lack perception, and seem proud of their ignorances.
Some, with their fake sincerity, and ulterior motive.

Thank you VDX, for your hard work and perseverence.
Especially the perseverence bit.
It is very much appreciated .... and if we do not all thank you, I am certain you could care less.
Keep it up.
Press on.

Bruno, many of us here in this forum have been burned on KS campaigns. It's sad that some of us tend to lead to the negative when a campaign seems fishy or takes a long time to fulfill. Were those that asked for refunds and spewed "poison" wrong? In this case, yes.

Nonetheless Bruno, there is really no reason for you to make a big deal out of something that happened six months ago.

Oh please.
Next you'll bring in the "bruno is against all criticism" lead, when I make it plain that my criticism is aimed at bad criticism, malicious criticism, lazy criticism, lightweight sheepfold criticism &co ....
Criticism begins at home Cbkimble.
This is not a "something that occured six months ago" issue.

No, you've been ranting for longer than that. But people are entitled to voice their opinion on this forum, regardless of the type of criticism you say they have. Your endless tirading won't change that.

Oh, you made me a HAPPY HAPPY person :D . I have been dreaming of adding this set and figured it was never going to happen. It did not require any time to think about it. Darn, that hurt, but in a necessary way. Thanks for posting here about it. That is one set down. No, I didn't get multiple copies.

For some reason, when trying to purchase the two decks, the PayPal payment is not going through. I called PayPal support and was told that it is happening because of the goods (or the website itself) is classified as "gambling". Is there any specific reason for that? I usually pay for the decks through PayPal and it was never a problem before.

I received my box in the mail yesterday. The display box is really nice are the aluminum deck cases. Sadly, I can't bring myself to break the seal on this set. I will have to wait until the new versions are completed. They can't come fast enough. The the meantime...set 079/299:

Edit: Magic Tapp - Where you able to complete your purchase? I used PayPal with no problem, so that is really odd. If you haven't done it, you might just try again and see if it goes through on the second try.

Thanks Bradius but alas, no. The PayPal support suggested that that happened because the site is labelled as “gambling”. Perhaps something that is UK-specific.

I have a feeling this thread is dead … been a few months since the last post.

But just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the handling of the decks. I’m looking to possibly fund the new version he has put out … but I really would like to know a little more about how the cards feel … and handle …

Can you cleanly and easily farro with these … are they traditionally cut. Do they spread and fan nicely or are they clumpy. Do they quickly become more clumpy over time with more use. Do they feel similar to USPC, Legends, Cartimundi … magic finish? Thick stock or thin?

Any thoughts would be great.

I see @PrincessTrouble posted some pics and said “… handle reasonably well.” Does that mean … ehhhh … they handle ok but not that good?

Thanks in advance if anyone sees this and replies!

If anyone is interested, I have now added my Vertex Stars and Stripes set number 31/299 to my tradelist. I am in no hurry to get rid of it by any means but I am willing to trade it/sell it for the right offer. There is a listing for the same set for 599 USD currently on ebay, which is a bit crazy IMO.

If someone has an extra Surrealist by Salvador Dalí set (in good condition), I would do a one for one trade for it right away. Same goes for all of my three White Whales. Other than that, if you are interested, PM me and let's figure things out.

We’ll be happy when someone has it that appreciates the 8 years of invention and development that went into it. We never felt you did to be honest (it was discussed ages ago, briefly) and kind of regretted offering it as a prize. Let’s hope it finds a happy home now.

Okay...? I do appreciate it but the thing is I open my decks and it just sitting on my collection without me being able to appreciate the technology that went in to it. I would like to accuire some of the never editions for that reason, I could actually open them and look at them. It's not like I'm dumping this to the first one to offer anything, just really testing the market. And what's with the hostile attitude?

No backlash here. It was/is an awesome prize, and I appreciate you for supporting our community with such a prize. I think Roope said he was not in a hurry to part with it. I'll leave it at that.

Sorry but you don't really get to dictate how other people should treat your product or decide whether someone "appreciates" it enough :? :? What if I were to fall on hard times and ended up having to sell my Vegas Diffractor?
