Hello!
I'm new here with a new idea for designing a custom deck of playing cards inspired by well-loved novels such as (Pride and Prejudice, Blindness, Seeing, The Kite Runner, 1984 and more).
A friend of mine introduced UC to me to share my idea here to get feedbacks before I completely design the deck. I would really appreciate it if you could share your thoughts about this deck :)
Here are early images of the deck, these are not final designs.
Thanks.

The designs of the images on the courts themselves are really slick—I like them a lot. Assuming each suit references a different book, then the "leafmotif" that runs through them all is a bit confusing. The image on the tuck does nothing for me and definitely doesn't say "literature" (is it a reference to 1984?). I think you'd be better served sticking to one author or one book. Austen immediately comes to mind.

I love how this looks already. It's so polished and the fully-custom courts are stunning. I am excited to see this develop!
I know of a few classic novels, but I am not great at catching subtle hints like the ones you are using for your artwork. It may appeal to more people if you add some small text along the long side of the card. I don't think it would make the card too busy and it will allow uncultured swine like myself to fully-appreciate the reference without feeling a bit left out of the loop. My humble request would be to have embossing on the tuck box be part of the launch or at least an early stretch goal.
Thanks for sharing this project. You are going to do great!

Good point about the "leafmotif", I will design different leaf for each suit.
And yes the image on tuck box is for 1984, tuck box will not be like this, these are just early concepts.
About this idea of using one book/author, actually I'm still thinking about it.
Thanks for your feedback.

Good idea about adding small text, I will try this one and show it in next update.
About embossing on the tuck box, I'd like to do it for sure.
