Yeah, arguments about religious pretext aside, Cartamundi printed, clean design, foiled tuckcase, affordable pledge tiers... definitely really tempting. I think I have to save my money for Modern Idols and other kickstarter campaigns coming out this week though.

Yeah, Idols with 4 decks will make a bit of a dent. I'd also still like to get the Vivaldi and 5th kingdoms set. I think I have a few others saved to think about as well with 4 open pledges already on the books. Spartans Amazons is a must for me as well.

Plain glossy tucks for 5th kingdom may bump it off the list as much as I like the cards and being Will's campaign.

At least KS seemed to slow a bit over the summer. I dont think I had any open pledges for a while there, but did get a few direct releases.

Also, don't forget we have a set of four NPCCD decks coming out this week. This is a small release with likely custom tuck sand not cheap, so save your pennies if you want one or especially if you want to spring for a full set.

I only mentioned decks that I knew what they looked like. Last years npccd decks weren't for me and I didn't pick up any. It will likely be one deck if I like the way they look this year. I hope I like them.

I do remember that NPCCD is just around the corner but do not recall the exact date. When are the decks going to be released?

Alex is releasing the decks this Friday, Oct 10th at the 52plus Convention in Charlotte, NC (runs from 9th - 12th).

I have noticed that the blue variation of this deck replaces red with blue for the hearts and diamonds pips, and I'm staring to lose my interest. I suppose I may yet pick up a red one. But... maybe not. We'll see.

I noticed that too and it's a huge pet peeve of mine, especially when the color is changed to a color similar to black (like the dark blue in this case). Makes for harder gameplay. But everything else is pretty solid IMO.

I finally backed these. Went for 6 decks because of the allure for a Collector's Box.

They added another deck, Dark Reserve. Black and gold. Cartamundi gold cold foil on the card backs. Gold metallic ink on the courts.

No brainer for me at $15 each.

Yeah, the Dark Reserve is a no-brainer. Trying to decide if the gilded decks will be of any interest to me. Probably not.

With the new foil version, they have finally enticed me to the dark side and now I am in for an EB mixed half brick (six of 666 decks)

I'll probably add an extra foil deck as an add on to get me to seven decks though. :D

I'm not a Christian, therefore my knowledge might be flawed on this, but I'm pretty certain that seven is regarded as a "good" number in Christian faith opposite to the six.

Harvonsgard, you are correct, in most Christian groups I am familiar with, seven is a much better number than six. I think theCapraAegagrus was referring to is god created the angel that became the devil (and all creatures that became demons for that matter), so their father in a sense. And yes, I found it funny.

3 is the "good" number due to a few things but namely the Holy Trinity (Father, Son & Holy Spirit). So if 3 is "perfect" then twice 3 is "bad." Something like that.

There is a lot of biblical symbolism in the number 7. I used to be much more knowledgeable on the subject. I thought that 7 was perfection and 6 was falling short of perfection. I could be wrong though.

Subject area dude here.

7 is the perfect/complete number; 40 is the number for much/many; 3 is good only due to the Trinity concept but nowhere else. There is no biblical proof that 6 is the number for bad; it's 666 that's mentioned ONLY in Revelations, the last book of the New Testament:
Revelation 13:11-18 wrote:The Beast out of the Earth

11Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. 12It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. 13And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. 14Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

18This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.
And this is the only mention of the number 666. If you've heard of 6 being the number of bad, it's probably because that's the theology of Jehovah's Witness, where they say 6-6-6 is a three-time reiteration of the number 6 to emphasize evilness. But again, digging deeper into their theology, the biblical verses they quote don't prove that 6 is a bad number. Anyways, 666 as a number of evil is amplified by some conservative sectors of Christianity and the secular view of Christianity's concept of "good/evil."

Three 7's is supposed to signal the ultimate "good", or something like that.

So, 777 is the number of "God".

666 is the Number of the Beast.

Something like that. Idk.

666 is like that, but info on 777 is wrong.
7, just 7, is the number of good.

777 is the number that you've hit jackpot in casinos; has nothing to do with a religious origin. ;)
