Re: Alis Luminis [KS-Live]
It's not half bad.
I quite like the back design. Imagine if t'was foiled by a better printer.

Elements of this (the butterfly on the tuck, the back design, the pips on the number cards) are delightful and close to what I envision a Tolkien elvish deck would look like, but alas, the actual artwork and other elements (aces, font, oval border) don't work for me.

Re: Alis Luminis [KS-Live]
I like this a lot and I think my daughter will be blown away by this deck, especially. I don't have a lot of gilded decks and I don't think it's necessary on most, but this deck should have a gilded option. It would fit the tuck and design theme so well. I don't think it would be overkill as it would compliment the aesthetic quite a bit.

I pledged for one of these, I'm a sucker for fantasy art and blinged out tucks. What can I say?
I am happy that they didn't go with 4 color suits and left the index pips standard.

Did you get your hands on the fantasy deck by Dustin Panzino (inkwell)? Amazing artworkSTLBluesNut wrote:I pledged for one of these, I'm a sucker for fantasy art and blinged out tucks. What can I say?

Re: Alis Luminis [KS-Live]
I did not. iirc that deck, it was a bit too pricey even though it had orange and all that foil.

Looks really nice. Sad that the back design is too much of a let down for me.

Re: Alis Luminis [KS-Live]
Came in today. Embossing seems not quite as deep as it seemed on update, but not terrible. The colors and outer design were what attracted me initially to this one. It's funny how sometimes we'll do a kickstarter with how we are feeling that day and then once a deck comes in you can be either AMAZED, or wondering exactly why you backed it at that time to begin with. This one has me drifting a bit to the later, it's nice, but not really my normal style of deck.
