Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
The Table Players Subscription will open up in late December or January. The Table Players Subscription will not have a limited number of slots so it won't be a competition for the slots at the time of the opening. Everyone who wants a subscription will be able to grab one. I'll be releasing more info as the year comes to a close.RichK wrote:Anyone know how to subscribe to this? Maybe too soon?

Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
Interesting.. So there will be 6 special edition decks each year, but the only way to get them is to sub for $72/month? Or for $13/month you will only get one of the 6 special edition decks?

Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
The six different Special Edition WILL be available to purchase. However, they will be limited. Subbing to either the 2x Subscription or the 12x Subscription is just a way for someone to ensure they get them all (or one, in the case of the 2x subscription) without ever having to fight for a deck on the day of release.Justin O. wrote:Interesting... Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
Is the 1x special deck per year just one of the six limited edition decks, or is it a seventh? Are these going to be the same cards with a recolored tuck like the KWS standard/limited? Are these going to be USPCC printed? I can't imagine the tucks will be Clove St., will they be regular USPCC too?
That's a lot of questions, sorry for being the Most Annoying Forum Member
Editing to add MOAR INFO there will be gilded versions, and the "one of six decks" is random

- The Special Edition Decks will simply be the same cards in a differnt tuck.
- Yes Each deck will be printed by the Unites States Playing Card Company
- Yes Clove St. Press will be printing all of the tuck cases for the Table Players Series.
- They will all be printed on Classic Paper Stock (What used to be Bicycle Stock) and be tradintionally cut.

That graphic is different from what's stated in the OP:hsbc wrote:
...so what happened to that? Is it still $6 per month for 1 deck, bi-monthly (basically $12 per deck)? Or is it $7 ($14 per deck)? The prices get cheaper as you get more decks each month. The pricing will be as follows (unsure yet if there will be more options):
One deck for $6 each month ($12 per deck, delivered every other month)
Two decks for $11 each month ($22 for two decks delivered every other month; $11 per deck)
A brick for $60 each month ($120 for 12 decks every other month; $10 per deck)

Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
Good point Vasta. I believe Jackson was still finalizing his costs and pricing for these decks.
In checking his website, the pricing shows as $7/month for one deck, $13/month for two decks and $72/month for 12 decks and $22/month for a gilded deck. That translates to $14/single deck, $26/two decks, and $144 for twelve decks. Shipping and state sales tax is additional.
Or you can get 12 bricks for $864/month. I mean that is at $12 a deck.

I should have expected this but it still sucks. I was very excited for 6 $12 decks per year. I know I'm nitpicking but I'll have to reconsider- the raise in price is like paying for one extra deck a year that you're not getting.

Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
I agree with you Vasta. I was optimistic with the $6/month but $7 is a possible no go. What confuses me is the 12X B-monthly with 12 Special Editions. You get in one year 6 bricks of same deck and 12 unique decks? Needs more info not that I'll be ever pledging that much (sorry Jackson).

I have created a simple info graphic style website to help explain how the Table Players Subscription works. Things may change but things are getting more ironed out. Nothing is available yet but you can atleast see how things might work.

Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
Just to make sure I understand, to get everything, I would need to get the brick for $66/month, that includes 6 unique decks, and the limited gilded deck for another $22/month? So $88 monthly?JacksonRobinson wrote: Nothing is available yet but you can atleast see how things might work.
How much will the decks (standards and the 6 uniques) cost through the web-store if you don't sub?
I'm thinking my best bet to get everything (without getting doubles) is to sub for the 1x at $6/month, the 1x gilded for another $22, and buy the uniques retail, is that correct?

I love that Jackson couldn't help himself but to add exclusive/limited content to his 'unlimited' subscription plan

Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
I really like the Golden Ticket idea
So you're going to actually put the Golden Ticket cards hidden within the decks?? People are going to be buying bricks and leaving them sealed... people might find these a year or two from now if a collector sells a sealed deckWith each Table Players Editions there will be 25 Golden Tickets placed randomly within 25 of the regular edition Table Players decks. All 25 Golden Tickets will be randomly sent out to subscribers only. If you are one of the 25 lucky subscriber who get a golden ticket, you will win 1 of 25 Golden Ticket editions of each Table Players deck. Every other month 25 new golden Tickets will be sent out.

Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
Yeah, as it stands right now I am going to sub for the brick to get the unique decks but likely will never open any of them. Wonder how many golden tickets I will end up with never seeing the light of day?

Jackson, would it be possible to just get a golden ticket card, maybe with a cut corner so as not to be redeemable, to have as a collector's piece?JacksonRobinson wrote:hsbc wrote: Correct, the golden ticket cards will be placed inside the sealed decks.

Re: Kings Wild Project Table Players Series
Okay, for those where the extra dollar made a difference, it looks like KWP has brought the price back down to $6 per month or $12 for a single deck/$11 per month for two decks or $11 per deck and the same $11 per deck for 12 decks, but it will probably come with a really nice brick box included.
I think the Golden Ticket is just an idea to shake things up a bit. Some will open them and some will not. Jackson did suggest that at the end of the year any unclaimed golden tickets would be sold. I suggest auctioned, but in any event, if you don't claim your golden ticket price, you will forfeit your deck. I would not want to be the one that sold my unopened deck only to have the buyer contact me and tell me it had a golden ticket in it. I guess playing cards have a lot of random chance in them, so a chance for a cool prize.
In honor of Henry Salt, the businessman dad of Veruca Salt that had her dad buy tons of Wonka bars to ensure that she got a Golden Ticket, I asked if someone bought 12 bricks per issue, what then? Jackson was unflappable, but a bit evasive. He assured us that if someone subscribed for a gross of these decks each issue, they would most assuredly get a prize. I am not sure if it is a golden ticket or not, but something. Most likely a Golden Nut award in honor of the Salts. Honestly, if you bought that many, I have to think the odds are quite good you would get several golden tickets over the series. Although, I simply can't imagine anyone other than a goaded Henry Salt agreeing to such a venture.
I don't suggest buying the decks in the strong hope to get Golden TIckets, but just a bit of good fun included in the price. But, if you get lucky, remember your friends!
Oh, a couple of other things. The Standard decks (not gilded) will be the only decks with a possible golden ticket. Also, only a standard deck with a subscription will have a chance of a golden ticket. If you are not a subscriber or buy a standard deck from a subscriber (before the end of the year), will be the only ones with a chance at a golden ticket. While others can buy the Players standard edition decks from KWP, they will not have a possible golden ticket in them. Okay, that is all. I think.

I guess it is possible, but I would doubt it. I could see Jackson sending back Golden Ticket recipients their Golden Tickets after verification that they are authentic, and then suitable for framing and such.Jackson, would it be possible to just get a golden ticket card, maybe with a cut corner so as not to be redeemable, to have as a collector's piece?

So at the risk of using my 'creator' profile for collector comments, which I try to avoid doing, I wanted to say that these are the first of Jackson's decks that I really like from a collector POV (his other decks are fantastic from a design POV but not my thing personally. Incidentally, my partner/designer Alessandra really likes them and she knows her stuff).
These are classy, elegant cards with gorgeous tucks. Awesome.

Those are very nice! And the tuck is beautiful!
The back looks a bit like the back from the Maduro deck, right? Nor that I mind it one bit.
And of course, I will open it. Want to see if I got the Willy Won... er, the KWP Golden Ticket!
BTW, Jackson, can we send you already the pics of the completed Short Subs Certificate?
