Well, to be honest, a bit inconsistent brand. The last KS installment was called "Red Roses Playing Cards" and it was red indeed.

I agree, everything is pretty random with this brand, except for the always modernized court faces. DS was also selling the rights to put your face on the court cards for 500€… which sold out.

What. I'm pretty sure you could commission an entire deck of the same level for that much! (37 hours work at a reasonable rate when converted to AUD) He already made a profit before selling a single deck.

I'm not one of the guys, that takes effort and time put into a design for a valid critirea to judge if a design is good or bad. If a design is great, it is great nonetheless if it takes years or split seconds to come up with it. That said, I don't see any greatness here...

I must say I'm a bit tired of DS always emphasizing how long it took him to create these and what "beauties" they are. For example in comparison with Stockholm17, who's designing his new tarot deck and it's always like: "look what I did today" and there's some mindblowing new card design.

Kind of unfair to compare anybody with Lorenzo though. Most deck creators would suck in comparison to him .

That said the black backed, V1 reprints look pretty sharp, and the Black backed Casino deck, would probably pledge if I could only get one Casino deck. However he says there is a 1000 deck limit, but has no system in place to police going over that limit, from the comments I see

Yes, I didn't expect that we hit the goal that fast.
That is really crazy and that means that probably more people want to order the stretch goal deck. But if I should come close to 1000 I'll limited it to one deck per person and maybe I also increase the price.

Never missing a chance to cashgrab.
Also, never seen a KS campaign that marks up an add-on option halfway through the pledging stage. So does that mean there will be a threshold where latecomers will be charged more? Or do everyone who's pledged that add-on get an equal amount of price raise with no warning? Either way, it WILL BE CONTROVERSIAL.

Ehm... plot twist. Daniel Schneider is the designer behind the Orbit decks (and of course his own brand Black Roses). Therefore clearly Black Roses and Orbit have the same design language.

I can‘t tell you anymore how many hours, days and weeks I have spent with the improvements of my own cards.
The simple goal is perfection. And in this case perfection means for me to create faces in the same design like an original court card. That’s why my eyes bleed so often when I see other court card faces in some other decks. I also started at zero and my first courts were terrible but I can proudly say that I always try to improve. Generell in life. I‘m not long satisfied with my achievements when I know that more is possible.

Subconsciously or not - I think you can see this doggedness. That‘s why I can count on your support when I release a new deck. You know it won‘t be crap.

LOL, I had to read it on the original post to believe it. Short disclaimer, I genuinly believe that this is how Daniel feels, but it is still pretty ridiculous. He is lost in tiny details and totaly forgets to create art and improving (or to be blunt even develop) his style. His Innocence Cards were a promising project and the Orbit decks are okay (as are his own decks, if that is what he wants to put out there) for what they are, but if he really wants to be a card designer and if perfection is his goal, then he should stop wasting his time on this and start to put hours, weeks and even years in real perfection.

Side note, if a statement starts with "I can‘t tell you anymore..." the follow up will be malecow'sexcrements.
