Unfortunately, not for me. I was looking forward to them after v6 too. I am happy that I am not a completionist in card collecting.

Murphy's, can you people for once not treat this forum as a place for advertisement?

Re: Orbit V7
this design feels so uninspired... it's like Daniel Schneider just google searched "80's background" and slapped that on the back... but even so, still failed to mimic it well by not adding the detail of that retro-futuristic, tron-esque glowing gradation effect in the lines of the grid so everything just falls flat rather than dimensional as it's intended to...
I love the 80's and it'd be cool to see the aesthetic captured and executed in a design that didn't feel like the lazy regurgitation of a generic screensaver that's been done over and over again... ugh.

Re: Orbit V7
Thank you for your input. Yes, it is advertising, but it is so that we can tell people that it is out there in the market completely now. Being a wholesaler we're actually in a fun place that we can share information such as that. Hopefully those who enjoy this deck will then see that is is available. Also, unfortunately, in the first post I wasn't aware that the interview was so quickly, so I wanted to share in case anyone was interested. Of course, not all decks will be for everyone. Choosing the right deck for you is a personal experience, but without many options there is not a place for many personalities. We're here just to let you know it is now available anywhere in the world and also share any extra information we may have.

Re: Orbit V7
Thanks, Murphy's. I appreciate your willingness to share information with UC folks, it's just that for this deck it has been too obvious that ORBIT has been heavily marketed everywhere, every place, even in this very thread. There's no reason for such excessive advertisement of one single deck or brand, and it would be better if you could provide us with a variety of information of different decks and not just focusing on certain brands that are already oversaturated and splattered all over social media.

Re: Orbit V7
I'm sure they would do the same if they were interviewing the creator of any other deck they were selling. Not posting about it just because it's concerning this specific deck would be pretty biased.Decknowledgy wrote:Thanks, Murphy's. Re: Orbit V7
Went back to take a good look at what Murphy was posting, and I’m sorry that I’ve been too critical about you posting here. Didn’t realize it was Dancy interviewing Brown for the design concepts but mistaken it as Dancy talking about/promoting the deck
My bad… I was overtaken by the fatigue for this series.

Glad we can help! If there is anything else we can do, please let us know. Since we are strictly a wholesaler and do not sell to the public we are fairly limited, but it's exciting to be able to share what we can and enjoy doing so!

You own Fontaines and Anyone World Wide decks. How can you say that with a straight face?Decknowledgy wrote:Went back to take a good look at what Murphy was posting, and I’m sorry that I’ve been too critical about you posting here. And I also own Orbit V5, so why can't I?LasVegasCards wrote:You own Fontaines and Anyone World Wide decks. How can you say that with a straight face?
I pick my favorite out of the bunch, not blindly grabbing every one of them, so why can't I say fatigue?
If I want to be very honest, Orbit's artwork is by far the least creative and the least different derivatives of its predecessor, in comparison to the decks Fontaine and Anyone are putting out. Any objections?

Re: Orbit V7
You'll need to further clarify what you mean by "series". V7 or Orbit entirely? I just find it rich that anyone buying insanely hyped decks like Fontaine or Anyone World Wide could chastise another deck producer for promotional fatigue. The only reason Fontaine and Anyone exist is due to a direct result of hype and promotion. It's a completely incongruent stance to take but you do you.Decknowledgy wrote:And I also own Orbit V5, so why can't I?LasVegasCards wrote:You own Fontaines and Anyone World Wide decks. Re: Orbit V7
No way, Fontaines are the laziest by far - it's the same back design and tuck design with different backgrounds. The Carrots are minimally different, I think they basically just say Carrots instead of FontaineDecknowledgy wrote:If I want to be very honest, Orbit's artwork is by far the least creative and the least different derivatives of its predecessor, in comparison to the decks Fontaine and Anyone are putting out. Orbit I'd put between the two - the decks are at least different designs instead of simple recolors, there's the tree one, a stars one, the new Tron/grid one, the new 80s-style "Orbit" one... and they're marked! At least some of them I think

Finally I think Anyone is the best out of the three: compare Dot, 6006, and Headlong, all very different. They also have tons of lazy designs - the flags, the Dot recolor (I like the Dot deck, fight me [MURRAY] ), the upcoming decks that just say ANYONE

Seriously, go to Portfolio52 and do searches for "Anyone", "Fontaine", and "Orbit" and compare the grids of decks that come up

It was being sold on Aesop's website first where it did sell out, but it will go up on the Orbit site later along with a restock of the v8
