Madison is back ... King’s Gold

Unread post by Harvonsgard »

After a heart-breaking post about misakes made by others and broken trust not too long ago, and the end of Madison playing cards, the self proclaimed king is back. Who would have thought that he could stay away from the cash grabbing. I don’t blame him, I couldn’t resist either when blind sheep are asking to get robbed this easily. :D

For everyone that wants an audience: http://danielmadison.co.uk/KING.html ...

I wouldn’t encourage people to buy cards from him, since he is pretty picky about who he sends cards,
I don’t want my cards to be held by strangers
and who has to wait for more than a year or longer, but I would encourage people to check out his marketing. Because nobody is as easy to persway to give you money than a cult like following.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

Yah know, this is just awesome. Some sets are even still available. Unfortunately, I haven't won the billion dollar lottery and no one has come by to give me several million dollars for being so incredible. As such, with limited resources, I'll just have to pass on this one and let another huge Madison fan pick it up. I hope they enjoy it. All I would think every time I saw it was how much I wasted on it.

I guess the only reason he isn't on it, is because nobody in here seems to care for his decks anyways. From an objective point of you, he definetly belongs there.
Non delievered decks. Decks delievered with waiting times from over a year. Screwed even patreons and blocked them because they asked where their decks are. Always blamed others for the faults...

... only question is, is he worth the time editing the black list? :ugthink:

I have to say , that's a masterclass of marketing right there.

3 decks, 2 of which are basically variants of his Madisonist decks. In Madison Reserve B9 stock and in Madison Blood red ink! Plus exclusive Madison poetry! You must be a true suc...er.... fan to want to read his ramblings in poetry form. He really learnt his lessons well from Ellusionist.

At least he does admit that his failure with the Madisonist decks led to his demise and change of direction. Not that it helps those who never got them.

However, I was wondering just how much this was related to E's King Slayers deck? "For they did not slay the king, the king was already dead" and the kings blood bloody axe image which is the same axe.

In the end, based on what I read, it was his total lack of business knowledge, hubris in not asking for help or getting advise, and not making good on his deliveries which killed his brand. Then again, he probably suffered a nervous breakdown getting overwhelmed by the monster he created.

Still, if it's really not about the money and to help fund his Madison Foundation, then I do wish that it does do well. Young magicians and card designers starting out will have some source of seed funding or mentoring. Time will tell if he's learnt from his mistakes.

Being that I was one of the patreons actually dropped and banned because I had the nerve to ask where my decks were, I vote blacklist. Just an update, after that happened I purged my collection of his decks. It made me feel greasy just owning them.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

Part of me wants to buy one and sell each piece off individually...probably make more than it's worth in return.

Add me to the list of Chumps who ordered over $200 worth of a mixed brick of the Charlie decks in January with no delivery as of yet and no un-automated response from Daniel, Charlie or Susan after several tries. They simply will not answer if they can confirm whether or not they shipped the decks. I must assume not, for if they did they would surely say so.

NEVER MADISON!

So I am shocked!!
I bought the Charlie Madisons Scarlett in the beginning of January this year (before you ask why, it was before I really knew much of anything about Daniel Madison. I have since learned more about him) I received an email informing me that my deck had shipped in early May, and then heard nothing more... Until yesterday when I received the cards! (the post mark was July 15th by the way, not early May) he also threw in a signed card and a different signed deck, I guess as an apology? Anyway, I thought he had stolen my money, I'm glad that's not the case.

I requested a refund from my credit card company for an order from last October a couple weeks ago and just got an automated response email from Charlie. Don't know what that means, but unless there is a tracking number for my shipment, I am expecting a full refund from Chase.
A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

I did receive my mixed brick of Charlie cards - with a couple extra decks thrown in! - Doesn't change my #nevermadison mantra going forward. Unprofessional way to handle business, even for a deceptive artist. HAHA
