Mono - Xero and Mono - Xero R on Kickstarter 7.7

Unread post by Luke Wadey »

Hey everyone!

Just a little post in the build up to my next launch! Coming this Sunday, 7.7 at 7pm BST, Mono - Xero and Mono - Xero R will launch on Kickstarter including a bunch of add-ons and also further limited edition decks.

I hope you guys like the design, but also if you are a fan of the #weareXero mindset, it basically can be summarised as there is too much fakery and ego in a lot of people in the industry, and long story short, I believe in not making cards for fame or fortune, but to enjoy creating experiences with like minded people and creating things we can enjoy together.

As yu may know, Mono - X was the first in the Mono range, and these decks continue with similar style and the monochromatic theme. Due to be printed by Cartamundi, I hope to see some of you guys on the campaign, there's a lot of great cards launching atm, and I appreciate your time. Thanks!!

Together, #weareXero

Looking forward to them Luke. It’s another great monochromatic work. All the best on the KS campaign.

I can't wait for these! Are there any Early Bird options? And is all four decks available right from the start?

Thanks guys!!!! :) I’m excited too, I really appreciate the support!

There will be no early birds as I feel everyone should have equal opportunity to pay the same prices regardless of backing time, location is only differentiating price factor.

That being said, there is still a benefit or two to be early.

Again I will be rewarding the first backer with a unique gift like I did for the Grid collection as a thank you. Also, all four decks will be available from the start, with the LE decks available as add-ons. It’s first come first served on those puppies :)

So the LE deck will be in addition to these four? Any idea what the edition number will be? They seem to jump by 5 each campaign.... :D

Thanks Timmargh!

And HSBC, it’s four in total, so there are 2 standard decks and 2 LE decks. As I will be printing an upgraded tuck box for the LE decks, the amount to be sold for each is 50 decks maximum. I am happy that it is a super low run but also enough so i can make the change to the LE tucks and remember a lot of this will be done by hand :) this number will not increase for the foreseeable future and it may end up less than 50 being sold in the end. Thanks! :)

Since I know you're reading this thread... The LE decks are printed with MPC right? Their new finish is supposed to be available "soon" for anyone to order - if the finish turns out well (the first deck hasn't quite reached backers yet I don't think) I hope you'll consider using it on this project (and in the future?! )

Haha I go through phases of being very active and inactive on UC, I need to be more consistent haha it’s something I will consider but I’m bound by the limits of the super lower print runs for the LE - I will see what I can do :) I know the stock of previous LE isn’t as good as the standard editions, but that’s because I need the low run so value comes in rarity :)

My exact same thought. I've seen this being advertised on Instagram by multiple users and often even spamming the hell out it. Hopefully, they're getting paid because I wouldn't advertise such an hideous atrocity.

Ahhh... Artificial Intelligence never know it's a bot, that makes sense.
No worries, Pierre, on UC we see you as human so you're safe

Thank you for the support and totally respect that - no worries. Also respect the manner in which you politely passed on the cards without slaying them needlessly haha all the best dude :)

How can you know that? And does anyone, please, know how to contact creator via KS mobile app. I’m on a train and can’t use desktop version. :)

Because Pierre (@badpete) has already stated he won't be joining, but what do I know? :P

Try clicking on Luke Wadey's creator icon, scroll down, and find the "Contact Me" button.

I meant the backer number. Now I can see that it’s in the email. I was 3rd. Not bad considered I was backing from a train in the middle of nowhere. :D
