Just got my Monoliths yesterday. Opened the "white" deck. Oh, my.
Looking forward to opening the black deck tomorrow.
And the gold deck a day or two after that.

The premise isn't great, but it's an entertaining movie IMO. It's worth a watch.Kurama wrote:One more movie I should watch... Or not?TwoPiece wrote:The sun is going to consume us a la Knowing.

Re: Last person to post wins. . . . .
I found it to be a very entertaining movie, right up until the final scenes, when it just went completely stupid. The ending was as bad as the final half of the series finale of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. Oh. My. Freaking. Dog.
But, yeah, up until that part, very entertaining. (Also kinda like BSG. It had mystery, suspense, twists and turns. Really. Right up before it went off a cliff, it kept you totally engaged.)

Re: Last person to post wins. . . . .
That was the "premise sucks" portion of my post. The ending isn't the worst, but it fails to capitalize on a mostly-'good' movie. The lead-in, mystery, etc is all entertaining.Kurama wrote:Aaaaand... Just give it a watch. It's well-acted and very weird. Who knows? You might enjoy the ending. Just do it!

I absolutely loved BSG. It came up as a recommendation on Netflix (when they still had rights) and I binged through the series. The very first episode had me anxious AF and I was hooked. Then they drove it off a cliff. I am so glad I watched it, though. Underappreciated, IMO.rousselle wrote:The ending was as bad as the final half of the series finale of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. Oh. My. Freaking. Dog.

I watched it "live" after the first season (which I binged via DVD) and the show really kept me anxiously waiting the next episode week after week. Right up until that finale. They did some amazing story telling, until it turned out that they didn't know what story they were telling.

Re: Last person to post wins. . . . .
I was crushin' hard on Katee Sackhoff, Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, and maybe even Edward James Olmos . It's fun to see what they are doing these days and a lot of the other cast, but those were intense days of binging and I felt physically drained after watching episodes. Good times.

I agree too... Binge watched BSG multiple times, even though the end was a bit disappointing after so much building up...rousselle wrote:Yup, I completely agree.BaconWise wrote:I absolutely loved BSG. I guess I might have spoiled by the endings of Six feet under... and The usual suspect
