Ellusionist King Slayer

Lmfao. These might be the worst non-Madison deck that E has ever released. Check this literal crap out:

Do you mean the Blood Red Kings? These King Slayer decks have the same style as the 4 Kings decks (which I love all 4 of).

The Red Knights are also great, but unrelated to these new boxes of crap.

You are correct, I was thinking of the red Knights. That just proves my point though. Ellusionist hasn't released a good series, IMO, since the Prohibition Series. At least with Prohibition they took the time to craft the cards, not slap a new coat of paint on a standard deck and call it "new." My 5 year old nephew can do that with crayons. With the Madison decks, they took the time to redo the court faces (and I'm pretty sure that is Madison, not Ellusionist). I'm about 90% sure the only reason the Jurassic Park cards were as unique as they are is because they had Universal breathing down their necks not to produce recycled garbage.

I'm still sour that they never completed the Elemental Series. Fathom and Ignite are great decks.

I love the Prohibition Series. I have a half-brick of each deck (3 of them in the boxed sets).

I had to select the sentences with my cursor to read the sentence in full and realize 2pc said eye to foot! :( Looks like some people are lucky enough to have that much free time on their hands!

Oh, man. As much as these "King Slayers" are just awful, they're not as bad as Fontaines. Madison decks are some of the only ones I'd consider that bad from E.

Just picked up a few of these from Will's site. Do not remember seeing them anywhere else before.
I know it's not everyone's taste but thought I'd throw it out there for anyone interested.

I can understand the appeal of these. They do make a unique looking deck. That said, what in the name of unholy underware were they thinking.

You can't dispute that a drawing of a sword is more art and took more effort than a lowercase f.

Someone just made all typographers cry...

On a serious note, a bad designed sword is a worse design than a standard lowercase f! If the sword would be well designed, I would agree with you.

I might concede that it could be AS BAD as a lowercase f, but I don't see how it can be worse. A depiction of something is more art than an alphabetical symbol in my view.

(Btw, I love these kinds of mini-disputes ^_^)

It definitely takes more effort, and deserves less flak, when you try to draw a sword rather than a letter that you've been writing since you were 5 years old...

Like I said - new concept I guess - regardless of how bad/plain it is. It's just a crappy version of the Black Kings.

Received my Zebra King Slayer decks yesterday.

Something interesting is that it seems to be the Cartamundi thinner E7 stock instead of the B9 stock they used on the other King Slayer decks.

I personally like the E7 stock but guessing they won't hold up as well in the long run.
