Jackson's gonna bleed me dry at this rate.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

If he hasn't customized the courts, I'll eat my hate (if I had one). He can customize courts in his sleep.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
I haven't seen the courts yet, but Jackson is known for the detailed like work like he is showing here with the Ace of Spades card. I can't imagine that these are not going to be mind blowing custom courts. The back is great as is the tuck. It doesn't look like this deck will lend itself to cold foil or hot foil on the cards. Jackson did mention last night during the auction that the tucks would be embossed with foil, so expect the tuck to be shiny. Also it was mentioned that there will be an awesome 8 deck box that looks like a giant deck of cards (put 2x2 and two decks deep )to get an idea of the size). This box will include seven regular decks and one gilded deck. It should be nice. He auctioned a prototype of the case with some other already issued decks that were really nice last night.
These will not be for the subscription set (that I know of), but will be a limited series available for pre-order on his website. I am sure more reveals will be made as we get closer. The number printed will be determined by the pre-order sales.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
In watching the video, those courts are for the Thoroughbreds deck, which is the June Subscription deck. I don't think he is going to use these for the Wild Americans deck. I guess we will find out soon enough. Generally though when he does these special decks, they are fully custom. Again, I could be mistaken.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
This deck will feature my new set of Kings Wild Standard Vintage Courts. This court set was originally developed for the Tigers but I have evolved it even further from the courts used in the Standard Tigers deck to what you see below. This is the same court set featured in the Thoroughbreds deck as Brad stated, but it will have a Red, White, and Blue color theme in the Americana. I didn't want to go over the top with this court set as I wanted it to have a very classic feel.
This will be the first deck that features my new Kings Wild Standard Court set printed by the United States Playing Card Company.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
Jackson, I really like these courts. They will go along great at our card game at our 4th of July party and pair well with my wife's dress and with her festive Trifle.
How long will the pre-order be available? And will everything be available the full-time? Thanks. Sorry if answered before, I couldn't find anything on that.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
I won't promise anything upfront, but there is a small chance I will have these in time for July 4th. I had orginally hoped to time their release on the 4th but the Kings Wild Shorts have been taking most of my attention so side deck projects, like this one, have taken back burners. If they are not delivered by the 4th they will most likely be delivered in the month of July. USPCC has been very supportive of streamlining the production of my decks since I began the subscription service.Pablo393 wrote:Jackson, I really like these courts. The preorder period will most likely last a week or so. The prices will be reflective of the early preorder period and will raise slightly when the decks are in hand and released on my website.

I recall you mentioning that USPCC put the kibosh on all Tally-Ho related designs. If I'm right then how did you get them to approve this?
P.S. I love it.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
Surely this is different enough from the Tally designs? And it doesn't have the TH branding, either.vasta41 wrote:I recall you mentioning that USPCC put the kibosh on all Tally-Ho related designs. If I'm right then how did you get them to approve this?

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
It is similar in composition only, only because this deck originally started as my next Tally Ho deck until USPCC informed me of the new lock down. Like me past Tally Ho decks the only thing that was not original designs was the Tally ho logo it self. All of the design and elemwnts are new just like my Tally Ho tick designs.
On top of that if it's not branded then USPCC doesn't force you to print the tucks in house so they aren't printing the tucks so approval is not needed.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
Jackson,
Great work as always. Personally, these courts are not interesting or unique enough for me to back, but I'm sure your campaign will survive nonetheless...
If it's not too late, I highly recommend changing the title and leaving off the "S" at the end. Americana is already a plural word, and the added s is kind of awkward.
Yes, people will talk about this deck and say "do you have Jackson's Americanas?", but the S shouldn't be on the box.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
I think he said during the video that he was making extras of the jumbo tucks because they were likely to be awesome with the foil and embossing by Clove Street, but not sure about the plans to sell them.

The cases show as $25, which seems really cheap to me given their size.

Re: Kings Wild Americanas
Anyone else notice that Daniel Schneider is doing the same with his pink roses deck? This isn't a deterrent for me to purchase Jacksons Americana since I purchase everything he creates. Just an observation. And to answer you chicken, I will get one gilded collectors and then another 1 of everything. Gotta happen.

There are only a few jumbo cases (maybe just the one with a gilded deck) and is limited to one per person.
