I'm sure it has nothing to do with the game, but it was a hilarious game. Very fun

I can only say that there will be 3 foils (gold red and black) but only on the back design. The faces have extremely vibrant metallic inks printed with a sophisticated technique on a beautiful black silky stock. Despite the black stock, the colors will be very bright thanks to the printing process.

Re: Fable (?) by Lotrek
A long time ago in a village lived a family during a great famine. You are out of food and your wife sends you into town to sell your last cow in exchange for enough food to last for the family. As you head toward town a Greek man named Lotrek bumps into on the way. "Hey, that is a nice cow you have there. Care to trade it for a magical deck?" "No sir, you see I must sell this cow for food." But, Lotrek quickly replies "This is a magical deck in three foils and metalic inks. It even comes with Greek stamps!". You are hypnotized by the shiny tuck and hand over the cow in exchange for the magical deck.
You come home and your wife asks what you got in town in exchange for the family cow. You hand her the deck. Your wife says "You dipstick! You were supposed to get food for us to eat not a stupid deck. You try to explain about the foil and Greek Stamps, but she chucks the deck out the window. As you follow with your eyes the deck flying out the window, you feel a blinding pain in the side of your head as your wife hits you with a frying pan....
When you wake up the next day with a huge headache and knot on the side of your head, you look out the window to see a giant Olive tree reaching into the clouds where the deck landed....
Lotrek, where fable and reality meet!

When you are knocked unconscious, it is hard to tell throbbing pain from stabbing pain. Now I know how deck designers feel when they come here! Ghah!

Waaaaaaait a second, Fable for me was a time-sink not a money pit. Just what is going on here??
*crosses fingers for Australia friendly release time*
Please note, it's insomniac season here (i.e. many international sporting events happening in Europe that are broadcast here in the middle of the night) so no great effort will be required on my part.

I know I will be in the vast minority here, but... since I have started collecting I have not seen a Lotrek deck I would spend that much money on come out. They are truly impressive technically but the style just hasn't been for me.
I hope for a design and style that will make me want to put up that much cash. Hoping for a nice fun fantasy/fairy tale theme that does it for me.

When you mentioned fairies, it brought to mind the deck below. I just got word the regular decks are coming out. I have some gilded with my rewards, so I have to wait quite a few more weeks.

Best looking Old Maid deck I've ever seen. I wonder if Changeling Artist Collective could be persuaded to format those cards for a poker deck? So cool

Style preference is purely a matter of taste. Unfortunately this deck has nothing to do with fantasy style. Fortunately for your wallet, though.

Re: Fable by Lotrek
Lol. We haven't seen it yet, so who knows.
To be fair, since I started collecting, the only new releases have been Damask and Silk. I do like Arabesque, but as we all know, going back and picking up previous offerings on the secondary market can be even more expensive.
So when I get a Lotrek deck it will most likely need to be on the initial release. I'm sure will come around.

When Arabesque was released, I bought 6 decks at $85 each before we even knew the name of it, much less any design.
Here is what we were told:
A nice trip down memory lane. Here is the start of the thread:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11030&hilit=arabesque
Here is the page where the error deck was announced via email and our discussion about it happened. They sold out in less than 2 hours.

Yes, missing the Silver and Error decks because I live on the other side of the world was painful. The silver players is beautiful, but only added the pain of missing out on the Silver deck. That's one of my white whales now, what with the aftermarket prices.Bradius wrote: Here is the page where the error deck was announced via email and our discussion about it happened. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is grateful that Lotrek has started doing pre-orders in 2019. Lotrek, you are doing pre-orders for Fables and other decks as well right?

Re: Fable by Lotrek
Fables I think is done. He may do two releases 12 hours apart to cover different time zones and such. Plus, I am guessing that this is not an uber limited release, so it shouldn't sell out in seconds, but you never know. Always best to plan on a fast sale and not miss out. I was one minute late to a KWP moving sale and missed it! It happens. I am trying to get used to that sad reality.
