I think I speak on behalf of the majority when I say a break would be appreciated. Between you Gio, Jody, Nicolai and TGW I'm tapped out for a month or so. I hear rumours of a new Lotrek players' deck, so saving for that.

And if anyone believes you, after the stunt with Betrayers Veritas, I will have a bridge and some swampland in Florida to sell them as well.Thirdway Industries wrote:My next "new" project will be -if everything will go very well- between June and July.

Ahah no no, this time for real - New project is big, I need time to complete it. I am not even sure I can do it for June, a lot of work to doMerlebird wrote:And if anyone believes you, after the stunt with Betrayers Veritas, I will have a bridge and some swampland in Florida to sell them as well.Thirdway Industries wrote:My next "new" project will be -if everything will go very well- between June and July.
Anyways
I've just got the White Monolith from USPCC - I am REALLY pleased, it's one of my most spectacular decks so far.
Silver is super metallic, almost like foil, and the neon inks are "alien" and fluorescent. I really love it
I'll share a sneak peek:
More pics soon (when I'll have the chance to shoot with sunlight, the one above was shoot in my design room, with artificial light)

Re: Monolith by Thirdway Industries | LIVE on KS
If you missed the Kickstarter update, I'll post a sneak peek here too.
I have Black Monolith and it's simply AMAZING, I am super excited about it. This is, beyone any doubt, my most crazy deck produced (yet, at least).
Here is a pic that show a little of this rainbow craziness, but believe me, the final product is way more incredible than this: I've did one of my silly mute videos on YouTube to show better, but even the video does not do justice at the real product.

I am glad I bought one more when Gio had some extras on sale. I wish I had bought more though.

Oh, I was taught about money. I was taught how to respect expensive things and take care of them. Which is why I won't open my Monolth's. Or any other decks for that matterMagikFingerz wrote:This is what happens when you don't teach your kids about money. $700 mice and playing card collecting.vasta41 wrote:But... but... they're so cheap!Merlebird wrote:I'm not buying you a new mouse. Re: Monolith by Thirdway Industries | LIVE on KS
I'd argue that not using something designed to be used and not viewing artwork meant to be seen is the opposite of respecting it! Like car collectors who don't drive their cars, or grannies who buy a nice couch then cover it in plastic and don't let anyone sit on it lol. Anyway, I really wasn't expecting something this awesome when I backed the project, it was the same with Lunatica and I think I'll be blown away when these arrive.

Re: Monolith by Thirdway Industries | LIVE on KS
I am definitely a #freethepip kind of collector. I love to open any deck I bring home and get the full experience. I can understand the desire to keep an incredible deck sealed, especially if it's a limited run. It's that desire to preserve something special and to keep it perfect, forever. It makes complete sense but it's just not how I roll.
You can bet your ass, I'm going to crack open my Monolith pair and enjoy them for years to come

My extra deck purchase was to make sure I open one of my decks to enjoy the Black Monolith at least.

Re: Monolith by Thirdway Industries | LIVE on KS
I agree with this 100%. I collect playing cards, especially custom playing cards, because I love how they look and I wan't to hold them and look at them closely with admiration. I do however have some decks that I've kept sealed, such as the kings wild shorts limited edition, because I had the display deck last year, and the standard version this year, to open and handle. And I can't wait to get these white, black, and gold Monoliths and open them and marvel at them in all their glory!BaconWise wrote:I am definitely a #freethepip kind of collector. Re: Monolith by Thirdway Industries | LIVE on KS
Haha Cartamundi didn't sent me pictures of the holo gilding (which is only on GOLD Monolith).
I saw those directly in Instagram, and yes - my jaw dropped too.
Can't wait to recieve them, they are being made this week.

It's the perfect example of the premium deck! Foil is in good hands in this project! Cartamundi forever. What they do is unbelievable!

Not sure if it's the lighting but the gilding looks alot different from the one on unicorn and ladybug.Thirdway Industries wrote:Haha Cartamundi didn't sent me pictures of the holo gilding (which is only on GOLD Monolith).

Light is "strange" for sure. The holofoil colorful in those pics, and those intense shades of colors are possible only with certain lights.chicken_ql wrote:Not sure if it's the lighting but the gilding looks alot different from the one on unicorn and ladybug.Thirdway Industries wrote:Haha Cartamundi didn't sent me pictures of the holo gilding (which is only on GOLD Monolith).

With a direct, plain light the holofoil is just silver.
I don't have those in my hands yet, when I'll get those, I'll share more pics for sure

I know I paid quite a bit more than I usually would for 3 of Gio's decks, but [banning offence words]!

Every time I see these, I note something different. Or I'm still recovering from just how deep the discount was on these. Probably the best $70-odd dollars I've ever spent on cards.

I got an email with a tracking number for my order. Says I should have it on Friday. Very excited to get these! Started off getting one white and one black. Ended up getting 4 white, 4 black, 6 gold. I may need an intervention.

I was trying to figure out what looked like a tracking number coming from GW. Unfortunately, mine doesn't have an estimated delivery date yet.
