Nah, I grabbed one when six were in stock. Then vincent1018 grabbed the no.5 left. So there were only four left.masagin303 wrote:Seems that someone grabbed last six at once. I was looking at the stock count every day and it was still 6 yesterday.

I just purchased several of the red silk decks. They still have both in stock.

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
So, Lotrek's "homemade" cards (ie, the ones he manufactures in Greece, rather than having a well known manufacturer doing it like USPCC or LPCC) I always open each and every one to visually inspect. There are historical reasons for this, even though it's becoming less of an issue these days. Today, I took the time to inspect the blue and red Silks and... well...
People on this thread keep talking about preferring the blue deck over the red, or the tuck for the red over the blue, or whatever, but I gotta say: You can compare a Honzo sword to any other blade in the world *except* another Honzo sword. How do you compare perfection?
I love them both. Oh. Em. Effing. Gee. These two are part of a set, and the super fine foiling work on both the cards and the tucks is just beyond anything I have ever seen.
Haven't worked up the nerve to shuffle these bad Larry's yet. But, they feel good enough, and they look like...

Yes, Hellenic post prints themed stamps. This time we had a lot of ancient folks and "tsoliades" (the traditional soldier outfit in the 19th century).

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
Thx for the replacement cards Lotrek!
Even the red stock cards you used to protect those is awesome. Made me feel back in Tokyo years ago, in a paper shop... Its texture is just luxurious.

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
Go ahead and open it. If the cards are damaged, Lotrek should be able to replace the cards. He's had excellent customer service when it comes to damaged decks/cards in the past.

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
From my (albeit somewhat limited) experience with dinged decks/tucks, that doesn't look serious enough to also having damaged the cards. Tucks are generally pretty sturdy.

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
Yeah, I opened them and the cards were fine. Lotrek is giving me a replacement tuck! Thanks Lotrek. . Hopefully the third one I ordered doesn't come that way . I like them sealed.
The cards though, are really something else. Can't believe these actually exist

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
Yeah, gotta say, there's nothing quite like holding these bad boys up to the light, spreading them out and seeing how they look in the real world. Photos never do them justice.
Sorry your tuck was dinged, and not at all surprised that Lotrek is sending you a replacement tuck. On every occasion I've noticed an issue with a Lotrek deck (not that often, but it has happened), he has taken care of it with grace and diligence. He's a stand-up guy, which is why you can back one of his decks and be certain that you're going to own a complete and correct deck of hand-crafted awesomeness.
Speaking of which, looks like I'm supposed to be receiving a package from GW soon, and I'm guessing that'll contain my Arabesque Red and Blue Players. Can't wait!
