Introduce Yourself

Hey, new to forum.

Working to become a serious collector. I am from Huntington Beach, CA and have been collecting for over a year now. I really enjoy the new decks being produced and pledge quite a few kickstarter decks. I, however, find myself being more and more drawn to vintage Americana. I really enjoy the history and hunt for the collectibles of the past. I am always interested in learning and look forward to meeting others in the community. I have already found myself several contacts via Instagram, and learned of the forum from Jackson Robinson. (Big fan of JR).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pipchick, yes, I have also seen you around.. thanks for the warm welcome. JR brought me into the world of collecting. I am really excited to see the live videos, and I am also very stoked to be a subscriber to his shorts series. This months moving sales have also been very interesting, cannot wait to see what else is in store. To answer your question, yes, I heard about the forum from JRs live.

Welcome to UC. If your interested in history, there are lots of cool books and newspapers from years gone by. It is fun getting newspapers from say the 1800's and seeing what they read. It is often the small articles that are so interesting. You might be surprised at how reasonable most are. If interested, PM me and I will send you some contact information on one or two old newspaper resellers. But, you could probably find them quickly enough just googling the subject. Also, ebay can be a source.

Back to playing cards, lots of interesting stuff. It will also be neat to see how the sale of USPCC will affect and change things in playing cards.
