AUTOMATA Playing Cards by BLACKOUT BROTHER

Unread post by Blackout Brother »

Hello everyone !

I want to show you the deck design i currently working on.
The "AUTOMATA" Playing Cards.
Inspired by the Automaton machine created by Clockwork which are very popular in the 16th century.

Hope you like it guys ! :)

The plan is, i'm going to use black stock paper for the tuck with Bronze/gold and silver/white foil on the artwork. And it will be printed by USPCC.
It will have inner prints later on the next update.

CARDS
front cards.jpg
My favourite parts on this design is the ace of spade. :D
About the court, i altered normal court design to match the theme. What do you guys think of the court?

BACK DESIGN
back cards.jpg
Let me know what you guys think about the colour. which one is better. My personal favourite is the Black and white colour.

That's for now.
stay tuned for the next update of the design.
Thoughts, comments or any feedback would be highly appreciated. :)

Cheers !

The tuck is amazing. Love your take on the standard courts. I prefer the black and copper back though.

Tuck and courts look good. I like black and copper for the back also.

It's good but very similar to my theory 11 decks. Not a big fan of the backs' colours though. Would like to see a combination of silver/metalish on the inside (double circle thing) and gold on the outside. 1 way color backs feel kind of old :(. Having silver and gold/copper on the back would make it fit the tuck case

It would be even better with foil  silver and copper foil would probably floor my jaw. I'd back a brick :)

The tuck is indeed very nice and reminiscent of T11 but would you consider customising the courts further?

Really like the black/copper/white or silver card back. Tuck is amazing. Will enjoy seeing more courts.
Move on, nothing to see here.

I like what I see. I definitely like the second back in the second post best. Black white and copper.

Also please use copper. In the OP you called it bronze but most of the replies say copper. I suppose the colors can be similar but please use copper.

Tuck design looks great!

Thanks!.. the foil will depend on which foil colour does USPCC have. I'll use Copper or bronze, but definitely not gold. Maybe gold for other variants later. :)
