We dont want that. lets see how we can adjust. perhaps EB can simply add the LTD. its gets crazy logistically. lol. we will figure it outrobcan0630 wrote:So we lose the early bird brick price to move to the new tier with the LTD deck?TheGentlemanWake wrote:That's correct. People will be able to move into the new tiers by simply managing their pledges.vasta41 wrote:I'm confused by this. Brick + LTD (400 available) $170 . (LTD comes out to $30)
Parlour Collector's Set (377 available) $90. Includes EB Pair, Black Deck Add-on, Free COIN, and LTD comes out to $45.
EDIT: We don't know how fast they will go. We think we will hit 100k however, which of course will include a free gaff pack (14 cards) for everyone in Brick tiers. Subject to change caveat.

Once again openness is simple (like the EB period that started this campaign)... Limitedness... Is not.

I like the white better as well, but if I could pick I think a dark red would be the best and fit the theme of the beetle as an earth tone color. Whatever color you decide on, I think it would be better if the shade was darker on the card backs so that the gold can pop.

I think that's the idea. NO additional LTD decks. We want to give everyone the chance to snatch one. of course we know that some folks will use the multiple accounts loophole but there's little we can do about that.
Huh? What? Who would do that?
Please ignore the tapping in the background as I set up some more Kickstarter accounts...

I know that green is sort of KS colour but I like the white deck more than I do the green. Apart from everything else, it would also create a nice pairing colour-wise. Blue and red, black and white. Just my two cents.

So just came back from 5 days in Vegas.... can someone summarize the last 5 pages in 1 sentence or 2? Extra deck color TBD when can we add and is there a limit?

I'm also trying to recalibrate here after coming back from a week-long travel
What I'm anxious about is which tiers get the chance and what date-time will it be released, but I'm 100% trusting TGW and Lorenzo to work that out Please don't leave us outside of the gate!

I also think accenting the designs in white rather than grey as shown in the rendering would give it a much more striking contrast but might also seem too heavy-handed if it's not the right shade... def take some time getting that juuusst right because you also don't want the gold foil in combo with the shade(s) of green to make everything come off as too yellow-toned overall, so striking a balance will be important - maybe just stay clear of warm shades of whites - just worth considering

I think TGW and Lorenzo qualify as playing card royalty.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW) -- LIVE on KS
Hey, all.
I'm one of the silly backers who went in for a brick (early bird), and I remain as excited as ever for this project. I am seriously considering ordering a second brick, which is insane (albeit a slow day for Bradius).
That said, while I stand to benefit as a brick backer, I'm going to have to echo the sentiments expressed by others that *all* of your backers should have an opportunity to acquire one of these super special, extra neat-o extremely limited decks. Yes, there's a real possibility that you'll blow past your original goal of a "777" print run, but it's possible you won't go *too* far over given that you are aiming for a price point of roughly $30 per brick backer and $45 per non-brick-backer.
You can still give some love to brick backers by having that price differential (and if you do, thank you kindly!), but if you allow your backers to add on *just one* deck each, as long as they have backed for at least, I don't know, a pair? Three decks? Or, a minimum pledge of $XX (whatever dollar amount you think makes sense) before adding on the new deck, I think you'll preserve the special-ness of the deck while showing the love to all of your many, many backers.
This, in turn, will help you build brand.
It will *possibly* raise more money for you than you'd originally budgeted, which is presumably a good thing.
And, it will still keep the print run of these super special extra decks lower than the number of reds, blues, and blacks printed.
And, if that means a little extra work for you guys, or a slightly longer wait time for people who have added this deck to thier pledge, well... just remind yourself, "this extra effort is bringing me and Lorenzo this extra $$$." And, remind your backers, "you wanted something a little extra, and I promise it's going to be worth the extra wait!"
If you wanted a campaign with less effort, you'd also have a campaign with more limited reach and more limited financial rewards. Speaking of reach: isn't that the point? To expand the brand? The more people who finish this campaign excited by the results in their hands, the more positive associations with your growing brand.
As I mentioned above, not *all* backers will pony up the extra $45 to grab that extra deck. So, either way, you win: either less extra work, or more money for the additional extra work.
So, yeah. That's my pitch. On behalf of everybody, I think you can't lose by pursuing a one-extra-special-deck-per-backer approach, with $30 per for brick backers and $45 for everyone else.
Except, of course, for Bradius and I, who would like a dozen of the new decks, each.

A brick at $30 each is just $360. That is the same cost for an Arabesque Silver and Gold on eBay. Pfft. Chump change. Will I get a special brick box?!!!

While Allan made a great pitch, mine is much simpler: Surely the benefits of making all of your backers happy (and avoiding making some of your backers miss out) outweighs the benefits of having a print run of some arbitrary number?

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW) -- LIVE on KS
I really love that you guys are really confident that we will sell 777 decks at an average price of $37. But just to share some numbers that I hope should calm your fears of missing out. There are over 500 backers in tiers of $26 or less. Those folks are highly unlikely to upgrade to a LTD deck when they haven’t upgraded to a black one. I really think everyone who wants an LTD will ultimately get one. Unless someone comes in an makes 100 fake accounts that is. Still thank you all for the great feedback. We will consider it all!

Just to add. I’m a bit of a rookie at this. I’m relying on Lorenzo quite a bit for guidance. The truth is he had trouble selling 250 gatekeepers and that was my number one deck of 2019’

A price point well below the Gatekeeper will bring a lot more folks into the game. Not sure why folks didn't snap up the Gatekeepers though. I thought the Gatekeeper bundle was an especially decent deal considering it has five decks and a custom carat case included with the awesome Gatekeeper case.

Most people here have heard my spiel about how I only collect playing cards and very seldom do I collect add-ons. I did not back the Gatekeeper because I considered it an add-on. Perhaps other people felt this way, that is to say it wasn't worth the extra money. The LTD deck is just that, one deck of playing cards. Mark my words- all 777 will sell. Has the success of this campaign taught you nothing? Again... The Gatekeeper is just a special tuck box. The deck inside was/is available at a better price. There wasn’t any card-relative incentive to back the Gatekeeper deck.Bradius wrote:A price point well below the Gatekeeper will bring a lot more folks into the game. THIS KS-LE deck is not the same as the other 3 = incentive for backers to add-on/pledge for.

Sorry to insist. Without repeating those last very valid points: why complicate things? Keep going with the flow of those who clearly want you , then set the number of LTD decks to produce. I am clearly convinced that you will once again be astonished
That being said, I have the feeling that your mind is kind of set on this ... Whatever, I'll be as all-in as possible
