I absolutely love the Silk deck - as good (if not better) as Arabesque. Tuck-wise, I actually like Arabesque better but those Silk courts are simply unbelievable.Bradius wrote:I just opened one of the Silk decks... photos don't do it justice.
Amazing work as always Lotrek.

Brad, did you have any home renovations planned?
How much were they when they went on sale?Bradius wrote:Hah! Act, I did pick up one more Blue Silk when they went on sale. That brings me to three Red Silk and four Blue Silk. I’m done; and so is my bank account.
I have a shockingly small box with my Arabesque Collectors decks and Damask decks. It is scary how much value is in that small box of playing cards.
But how much were they at the sale?Bradius wrote:They are $80 now. Still a few available.

Reds aren't available anymoreBradius wrote:Or, if you would rather not pay $80 shipped, you can buy one on eBay for 115 Pounds, plus shipping. Your choice.

How can i see what Simon has? His jack and jokers website doesn't show any listings :/.Bradius wrote:Honestly, I would suggest you just get a Blue and ease into Lotrek. Going back and getting his stuff gets really pricey. I would be really careful which ones you want. Getting everything is nearly insane (I should know). However, if you really want to, there are some insanely tough decks that Simon with Jacks and Jokers still has available and they come as complete sets. If you really want a Red Silk, but a request on our Buy/Sell forum and I bet you can find someone that will sell one for less than that one on eBay. Dentyne is in Canada, and I bet he would sell you one at a better price point than the one on eBay.
Thanks for all the help! Ill probably just stick with his new decks. Maybe I'll slowly acquire more older Lotrek decks in the future. I wonder if the price will go any higher :/.Bradius wrote:Maybe most of his Lotrek decks have sold. Dang. Well, Dentyne and some others may have some various Lotrek stuff. His foil decks can get very pricey, especially his low issue foil decks and such can get really, really expensive.
There are several Lotrek decks for sale on our Buy/Sell forum. Sorry if I leave off some others, but here is a link to Dentyne's decks he has for sale:

adams_osu also has several Lotrek decks/sets for sale

Both have amazing collections and I have bought from both and can recommend them.
Oh, TwoPiece has an opened Liturgy deck for $180, but I am sure it is in great condition. It is listed on eBay, but you could contact him here if you want it. It is getting really hard to find. Another one is on eBay for $400. I really like this deck. There are some test decks, but they are not foiled, but generally much more affordable. Only 130 of the foiled Liturgy deck were made, so it is one of the lower issue. It is one of my favorites. Two foil.
The Damask decks are not selling much over what they sold for directly from Lotrek. I guess because they already cost so much and have been fairly recently been released. Some of the budget killers would be the Icons Reverse (only 55 issued) and Venexiana Gold. But honestly, there are a lot of his decks that can get very expensive, or just hard to get because so few were made. I just received some test decks from a Kickstarter campaign option. They were not very expensive, but we could only get one per person and only 50 were issued as they were just some test decks he made. Who knows what folks will want for those, but a few will likely come on the market. In fact, some of the above folks might be options to try to snag those before they go on the market.

Do you have any pictures?grantt wrote:Got my Silk deck today and upon opening it's truly a beautiful creation as noted; though it seems a few cards are not quite pristine. On AD looks like there's some sheet roller gone through the gold and made squiggles in the pattern, seems like there's a little inconsistency in the super-fine work behind the pips on 7H and the 10H has some scuff or light ink marks on the white border that I thought were dust, but don't blow off. Hopefully my eventual blue Silk will come through in time at top quality so as to add to the red and blue Damask plus Arabesque in my display.
This is a great bit of advice that I would apply to ALL designers. Not just Lotrek. If I could give one bit of advice to new collectors is don’t go back and buy things marked up. Only buy new releases and pledge for new campaigns. There will always be new and exciting decks printed.Bradius wrote:Honestly, I would suggest you just get a Blue and ease into Lotrek.
