I guarantee you that he thought you were trying to snap a picture of his dong.
So, his story is completely different.

You could always rationalize that it was the guy's fault for looking so skeezy AND having the audacity to have an adorable doggo .PipChick wrote:But let me tell ya' folks, even from the guy's lap, that little doggo was seriously givin' me the eyes and just begging for some cuddles but his owner looked pretty skeezy...

Why couldn't you just have asked, "hey, can I say hi to your dog?" or "What a cute doggie, can I pet him/her?" Just pretend you have autism and ignore the fact that he looks creepy.
Or, do what I do, mad dog people until they hand me whatever it is I want from them: keys, wallet, phone, dogs... wife... y'know. Thug life. You can't just be socially awkward, you gotta find a way to make it work for you, play to your strengths. It also helps if you wear leather and play with razor blades in public.

but actually, as of about 6 months ago, I've been randomly getting a nearly daily barrage of random dick pics from literally hundreds of dudes from all over Germany...
But not because I'm oh so popular among the boys (ha! ), but rather because, apparently, my cell phone number is only one digit off from a commercialize sex work hotline that accidently made a mistake in listing the contact number in an ad for one of their girls before it was nationally broadcasted over the course of a few weeks on late-night public television... The ad and phone number have since been corrected, but because it's only a one digit difference, I still get dudes that misdial and are inadvertently sendin' me dick pics on the reg rather than "Anastasia"...
but yea, when the calls and messages first started rollin' in literally non-stop, it was definitely perplexing and totally random until one of the guys I started messaging back to try and understand wtf was goin' on sent me a pic of the ad on tv... after he had sent a few of his junk of course...
soooo, yea... this is the pathetic nature of my life guys... I just wanna know why TF this shit seems to always happen to me... lol

Christ, even if they were actually reaching the sex worker in question, cold-calling her with dick pics apropos of nothing is just bad manners. Would one of these guys roll up to an Olive Garden, bang his fork on the hostess's stand and scream 'SKETTI NOW'? Like, at least say 'hi' first, it's not that difficult.PipChick wrote:but actually, as of about 6 months ago, I've been randomly getting a nearly daily barrage of random dick pics from literally hundreds of dudes from all over Germany...

Merle,
I think you're expecting a bit much from people who are utilizing telesexwork services. It's like, they forgot the internet exists. I don't expect social niceties from such folk.

It's because they're people who apparently forgot the internet exists that I'm expecting this of them. I guarantee you many of them are in the same demographic that points a finger at millennials and Gen Zers and accuses them of not being 'polite.' It's like, at least I can hold a conversation with service workers without screaming at them or sexually harassing them, Kevin.ICantShuffle wrote:I think you're expecting a bit much from people who are utilizing telesexwork services. Re: Last person to post wins. . . . .
[warning: incoming boomer hate rant]
I blame boomers for everything.
They had all the opportunity and most of them effed it up royally or pissed it all away. Sorry not sorry. If they don't like Millenials and Gen Z, they should ask "well, who raised them?" Answer is: Boomers (well, Gen Z are the children of Gen Xers, but yeah). They also shouldn't complain about how no one has social skills anymore, since the Boomers were the ones making all the money pushing the technology that set the stage for a conformity factory education system and little meaningful social interaction. Also, everytime I hear one of them complain about their son/daughter/niece/nephew/grandkid that can't find a job, I am tempted to ask them why they're still working past 65. Oh? Because you're shitty and didn't save for retirement? Well, guess what, because octogenarians are now competing for jobs normally filled by highschoolers and their GED'd supervisors, those highschoolers and early adults don't have much of a "beginner" job market to break into.
I have my bone to pick with Gen Xers, as well, but I am kind of in between Millennial/Gen X so I at least GET where Gen Xers are coming from.
Boomers are the reason that people waste so much money on garbage liberal arts education. They're the ones pushing people to get useless degrees because they make gobs of money off of it. If your parents weren't rich, sorry you're not going to be a famous painter, unless you have a day job and you drink a lot and stay up all weekend doing some gonzo stuff and somehow make it that way. But, no, you're not going to have your stupid yoga session time or your $5 lattes with your overpriced MacBook at Starbucks-- you're going to get to eat ramen if you're lucky (otherwise it's whatever is left over in the dumpster behind the Chinese take out place) and put thousands of hours into actual work before you see a dime from an art career. Friends don't let friends get liberal arts degrees.
[end rant]

I'm watching some Steamed Hams memes and holy shit, I don't think I have ever craved some McDonalds hamburgers this much.
For those that don't know the Steamed Hams meme don't be sad. It just means that you are ignorant meme peasants compared to us highly intelligent meme lords.

I actually don't "subscribe" to any YouTuber. I'm one of those lame ducks that doesn't use his YT account for anything other than watching videos that require you to confirm you're 18+ years old.

Re: Last person to post wins. . . . .
I just found out that I f^&*ed up.
Apparently the 2018 Infinity Gauntlet Slipcase box set was reprinted, and I bought the 2nd Edition.
I knew that the 2014 Famous Firsts Slipcase was reprinted (and I bought the 1st Edition set), but Secret Wars, Civil War, and Star Wars were never in high-enough demand to reprint. I just bought the 2019 Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Slipcase so I know it's the first printing.
As you might know, I have OCD, and this is setting my brain afire. I may have to spend another $300+ on a 1st Edition set, and donate/gift the one I have to my best friend...
I'm gonna have to double-check when I get home. If the books don't say, "2nd Printing", then there's no difference between them and I'll just keep 'em. I know the boxes and posters are exactly the same. The Famous Firsts 2nd Edition box was manufactured larger, and did NOT include the poster signed by Stan Lee, so there is a big difference between those two that consumers can identify.

File this under filing conundrums: when you receive a deck that is produced by somebody you already have allocated storage space to (I use plastic bins of varying sizes), but is produced or project managed by another somebody for whom you also have set aside space for. Or, it's part of a series that you already have a space for.
Like, say, the Gorilla Silver Back decks that just arrived. Do you put your decks with the other Albino Dragon decks, or with the other Edgy Brothers decks? I don't recall off the top of my head where I filed the first batch of Gorillas, but I *assume* it was with Edgy Bros. because I don't think Albino was involved at that time.
Randy does lots of collabs with other producers. As does Jackson and, now, Lorenzo. In most of these cases, I file the decks with others by the same designer, but there are occasional exceptions.
What are y'all's thoughts on the matter?

Like, say, the Gorilla Silver Back decks that just arrived. Do you put your decks with the other Albino Dragon decks, or with the other Edgy Brothers decks? I don't recall off the top of my head where I filed the first batch of Gorillas, but I *assume* it was with Edgy Bros. because I don't think Albino was involved at that time.
Randy does lots of collabs with other producers. As does Jackson and, now, Lorenzo. In most of these cases, I file the decks with others by the same designer, but there are occasional exceptions.
What are y'all's thoughts on the matter?

Re: Last person to post wins. . . . .
I haven't been in quite the same situation yet - my collection is piddlingly small compared to most others here, and I generally organize it by how much I like each deck rather than by who designed or printed it - but at that point I would say you almost have to make a case-by-case judgment call. I would probably end up filing a collab deck by whoever got "top billing" or, failing that, whichever participating designer's work the design feels most similar to. It's going to be a little arbitrary but that's the nature of the beast for an individual collector.

The solution is simple - a new filing category: "COLLABORATIONS"

Regarding the Gorilla decks. Edgy Brothers tried twice on KS to get the funding but were unsuccessful. Albino Dragon then bought the artwork off of them and got the 1st deck produced. So you probably have it under Albino Dragon.rousselle wrote: Like, say, the Gorilla Silver Back decks that just arrived. I store my decks alphabetized now. When I finally get around to building displays for all my decks, I'm not sure how I'm going to organize. Should I have all Bikes, Tallys, etc? Should I group by designer or producer? I'll probably organize by designer 1st, focussing on the ones I really like. For designers that I'm not that high on, I'll probably organize by type (Bikes, etc) then alphabetical if they don't fall into a name brand.
