Aww, man, now I'm going to have to fight the association with Tai Lopez and SoFlo productions.
TGW is a standup dude, though, so it's not like it's that hard.

I'm a blue man but I like the red tuck better. During the years, black and gold tucks don't do it for me anymore maybe because there's a lot of them but I know it's the inside that counts.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
how 'bout a launch time??TheGentlemanWake wrote:April 15th. [emoji4]
Also, just fyi: the 15th is also the same launch date (time TBD) as Jody's LUMINOSITY deck... I know each of y'all's deck is going to probably appeal to slightly different target groups in the market, but just a head's up as you'll both be generally competing for backers/pledges on the same day of release... might be worth considering, but hell, it could also be a good thing and, at the very least, yield more exposure because there'll probably be more KS traffic than average that you each can hopefully get the attention of as both yours and his project will be collectively drawing in the support of two big designers and their followings as they're launched on the same day
Regardless, best of luck!

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Curious. Would the fact that Jody’s deck and ours going up same day dissuade anyone from pledging/backing?

I don't recall two kickstarter campaigns coming out on the same day though it probably happened and I backed both.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Not for me. Seeing as how the duration of the campaigns could be different and the delivery date are different it doesn't dissuade me at all. The only problem I would ever foresee is if two campaigns launched at the exact same time and had very limited tiers or early birds and you missed out on one because you were doing the other and the likelihood of that ever happening is extremely rare.

Im in for both, but I never buy bricks so my total outlay is smaller than what others may have to consider.

Considering that it's designed by Lorenzo, there will be nothing stopping me from backing this project.

Just curious, will you be posting one of those preview links for the campaign to see what kind of rewards you'll offer? Also, will there be early bird tiers?

I am backing both. And I would agree that two launches on the same day may draw additional backers to both campaigns.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Our original launch date was the 15th too but I didn't want to clash with TGW. I'm sure it'll clash with something else but as long as it's not Lorenzo and Jody
Interesting theory about attracting more backers by launching together. Definitely going to be a good month for KS launches and probably a few new addicts will be born once they see how many are live!
Anyway, I'm in for a pair

Holy smoke this promo is crazily well put together... it's like reading THE resume that pops right out of the pile on first glance!

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
No fully custom courts. Tired drab old images. Font reminiscent of a 1900’s soda parlor. All the slick photography and fancy card moves can’t cover up a mediocre deck....
Just kidding. Great design and artwork. Love the custom font. Lorenzo was an amazing choice for the artwork. Catamundi for printing the decks and Lortrek to make the tucks is set to make a great deck of playing cards. Bravo!

Same question.Oscar53955 wrote:... will you be posting one of those preview links for the campaign...
I have had difficulty finding the page on Kickstarter when a campaign starts. I usually go to the Playing Cards cateogry, then sort by 'New', however, I do not believe this gets updated right away. Does anyone know of a better way to do this without the preview link?

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
I always just type in 'Playing Cards' in the search box and then change the 'Magic' sort into 'Newest'...if you are waiting for a project to launch prior to the launch time, just keep hitting refresh around the launch time and it should come up.Aces_Rye wrote:Same question.Oscar53955 wrote:... will you be posting one of those preview links for the campaign...

A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
No mention of the Foil backed version anywhere in the campaign that I see!! What happened to it
Edit: on further examination I assume its the 200% stretch goal. Hope we get there!

Surprisingly, quite a few commentators on the test page are upset with the choice of the printer. I am not sure why they think Cartamundi is inferior to USPCC.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
In the first deck reward box, the colour of the tuck is "wine-red," but in the tuck description section of the main page it's "wine red" without the hyphen. It's a minor point, but it's the only one I could see that hasn't already been mentioned.
This deck is growing on me. If my current (lack of) money issues are sorted before the end of campaign I'll most likely be in for both versions.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
You mention the stock is crushed B9 but this isn’t offered by Cartamundi. Are you taking about the new stock that E used on the cohorts? In that case I’m excited as I’ve not tried it ot yet
