I think it would be pretty cool and I'd personally grab a few if I can, but I would be concerned about the consumer market, since the community isn't that big.
Maybe one of our talented designers could come up with a design. The deck would only be available to members. Any of our esteemed designers interested?

LOVE the Premiere Back! Maybe something along those lines but instead of purle/ gold, green/ black? And would anyone else like to see jmrock's Storm Trooper bunny on the tuck case??
I would definitely be interested. I think it would be very cool to have a collaborative effort from the designers that frequent here. Also like the idea of a limited deck, for members only of course.
This sounds like a great idea. Perhaps it can be geared towards flourishing. I am more into magic but a flourishing theme would be great for the community. Either way, with the talent frequenting this site I am sure it could be nice. I will push Dazz to come up with some ideas. A walrus theme would be nice. I could put up some designs, if anyone is into stick figures.

Collaborative online projects could be very challenging. Just look around on the thread about The Discourse collaborative Deck (http://aethercards.com/discourse/design ... -voted%29/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
The creative process slowly lost momentum and puttered away.
OH! OH! I have an idea! Since UC is green, you could make the back have something similar to the code from The Matrix and have it spell out unitedcardists
That would be pretty awesome, perhaps the only issue would be whether we can sell that many decks (min2500) solely to UC members, might be a tough one, perhaps just us getting a first stab at it would be better, for mike that is..

That is the only way I plan on selling them. It will be a members only deck. We need to be able to pre-sell all 2500 decks, or won't be able to get it produced.
Randy Butterfield is going to do the design, since he was the first designer to contact me. The decks would be sold not to make money. They will be sold to promote unity among our wonderful community. I expect the price to be similar to a direct release from USPCC. I hoping to price it in the $4.95- $5.95 range, plus shipping.
Definitely. We'd need 200 members ordering a brick average each to even get close to the minimum though.
I know it's still wayy too early to ask, but any ideas of whether it should be a fairly standard deck with a UC theme, or a fully custom deck with custom courts and pips?

I spoke to Randy yesterday. It will have a custom back design and box. It will be Bicycle branded, using UC colors. The pips will be green for the hearts and diamonds. The clubs and spades will be black. The court cards will be standard with custom coloring.
We will see how this offering goes. If all goes well, maybe next time we could do more of an adventurous deck.
I offered up my services because I've had a UC-themed deck design in my head for a few months now. I think it will be very tasteful and classy and will be a little more minimalistic than my usual style, just a little bit! I have to finish signing some Ornate boxes tonight and then do a 2-3 night project starting tomorrow night. After that I'll take a break from the eggs and get a Tuck and Back Design to Mike by Saturday night, at the latest.

That's a great idea! I added the poll on the first page
