Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the handling of the decks. I’m looking to possibly fund the new version he has put out … but I really would like to know a little more about how the cards feel … and handle …

Can you cleanly and easily farro with these … are they traditionally cut. Do they spread and fan nicely or are they clumpy. Do they quickly become more clumpy over time with more use. Do they feel similar to USPC, Legends, Cartimundi … magic finish? Thick stock or thin?

Any thoughts would be great.

I see @PrincessTrouble posted some pics and said “… handle reasonably well.” on another thread ... Does that mean … ehhhh … they handle ok but not that good?

Just trying to understand the “matching numbering” commitment: if I’m in for, say, the 2x Gold & U/V Metal tier, and add on the other decks that aren’t part of the tier (like the Classic, and the non-metal Gold & U/V decks), will the numbers match across ALL of those decks, or only the decks in the tier, or a separate “match” for the tier and a potentially different “match” for the add-ons?

I'm finding it odd that the stretch goal of $85k to bring additional Transparent Holographic on ALL tucks is still out of the question at this point.

The main goal of $45k was to create a total of 2,495 decks (1,497 classic tuck & 998 Metal cases). A bit high but understandable considering the technology. But nothing really changed and/or got added for the $45k goal.

Now with an additional $20k that has been raised so far, the only stretch goal is a extra display card? Is it not possible to add Holographic on the standard tucks when you've reached over $65k at this point? I mean, you were seeking an additional $40k (double the initial goal) to add this to the tucks just seems to be a bit high regardless how you look at it.

I know you kept asking people to promote your campaign within their social media or among friends but in reality it truly came down to you, the creator, to cross-promote your own campaign so you could deliver the best looking decks NOW since this is a limited, one-time print run. Not once did I see your project being promoted by any other Kickstarter campaigns currently going on to help you reach your goals.

And lastly, when people pledge for more then one deck are they going to get more then one display card since that's where $20k is pretty much going to...

I have couple thoughts on the campaign and the deck, and was debating whether to put them here on UC. The reason being that I do not like the design at all, but seems like these decks are the kind of decks UC members likes. Now that given the campaign is closing to an end and my two cents will not move the needle, I will simply put down my honest thoughts as a card collector.

Things I like about the decks:
- Undoubtedly with very innovative printing technique
- One of a kind card box design

Things I do not like about the decks, ordered in decreasing importance:
- design
- almost no design on pips and courts
- the back design is not good enough, at least for me
- the tuck box is aweful
- generally speaking all the emphasize was on the new technique. However, I was still thinking of paying to get one or two simply because these are UNIQUE

- too many variation and hard to understand all the names of different decks, the tier design was not straight forward
- partly because the designer added the purple edition

- pricy, you cannot deny it, even with all those features
- there are v1 of these decks as well, hard to collect them all

Again these are just my thoughts that I'd like to share to the community, again I like to see the innovation in playing cards industry, but I just do not want people to weigh anything else over the DESIGN itself.

Asad had a huge following before he even came out with the Mint decks and that is why v1 did really well...I suspect that v2 did really well, not only because of Asad's following and his campaign efforts (marketing and add-ons), but because of the fact that the Mint v1s are selling for 75 - 150 on eBay and they wanted to try and cash in with the second round of decks...don't know how that will pan out as he printed a ton of decks this time, even for the limited deck (5k+, I believe), which is much more than the originals. Still, more power to him.

Wow, now I'm curious just what you pledged for Mint 2? I went in for 1 of each, but got my free Blueberry deck made into a Stripper deck. Not easy to find good quality marked decks which are also Stripper decks as well. But couldn't afford to get 1 Blueberry and 1 Stripper Blue. Not with JR's sub launching and the other great decks which came out in Aug and Sept.

Backer just received some bad news. The factory that was making the metal cases went out of business and is not delivering the metal cases, and not returning their 40% deposit! They wrote to advise that they are absorbing the loss, and have found a new manufacturer for the metal cases. Unfortunately, that pushes back completion of the rewards 4 months, into July.

I am really sorry to here you are having to deal with this financial loss. I can wait, but you might want to fulfill backers that didn’t chose metal deck, and maybe an option for those with metal and non-metal decks to pay extra shipping to get the non-metal decks shipped earlier and compensate you for the extra shipping cost.

That really stinks what happened to them! I never liked the metal cases and therefore didn't pledge for them so if my non-metal case order were sent out before July I wouldn't be upset. But I also wouldn't mind waiting if it helps these guys save money.

I feel really sorry for Felipe and his team but have to commend their honesty and communication with backers. That is how you are supposed to run your campaign. Delays suck but I do not mind having to wait as long as people are being open and upfront about it.

Damn, that is a bummer to hear. It is beyond the creators control but I feel bad for them and the backers and commend them for finding someone else to do it even though they may be taking a loss.
