Latest update:
We're in the last few days of this project and so close to reaching our funding goal - only 12% left!

To get there as soon as possible, we'll do a "refer a friend" offer to all backers who have pledged for at least 2 decks.

Simply tell your friends about this campaign
If they pledge for at least 2 decks, both of you will receive 1 free deck each
Your friends have to send me a message with your name
There'll be no additional shipping costs for the extra deck

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for everyone's support so far in this campaign,

Christian
Those that haven't pledged yet but like this deck, leave a message here so that those members here that have pledged for 2 decks or more can refer you, both get free decks and this campaign gets funded!

Latest update:
Hello Arcadians,

I hope you all have had had a great start on 2019 and that you are enjoying your weekend.

Since the Pride of Peacocks deck was successfully launched, we've been very busy with preparing everything for print. The good news is that we have finally sent the files to Cartamundi. All that's left is for them to approve them, and printing will start very soon.

We are using a printing technique called cold foiling on the tuck box. This takes shorter time than regular foil print, so unless any unforeseen issues arise, you'll have your hands on the decks in time.

Thanks,

Christian

Latest update, a small delay.
Hey Arcadians,

First of all, thank you all for filling out your addresses.

Second, I just wanted to let you guys know that due to some issues with Cartamundi's paper supplier, we will be experiencing some delays. As the paper was delivered late, we have been reserved a printing spot later that planned. This delay can, unfortunately, be up to a month.

I am sorry for this. All we can do is to be patient, but it's difficult as we are super exited to bring this deck to life.

I hope you all understand.

Thanks,

Chrisitan

A delay!? That's terrible, he should've switched to a different printer right away, regardless of quality, so that we can get these on schedule. Outrageous!!

Absolutely. Vistaprint did my Dad's business cards for his plumbing business in less than a week, so I'm sure he can do better.

Perhaps they should have just printed these on cloth to keep them on schedule

Latest update:
Hey guys!

It's been a while since the last update, so sorry about that. Just wanted to inform you that decks are foreseen to be ready in production the 22. April :)

I also wanted to share with you a sneak peak on the upcoming project (click the image for HD). This is a deck inspired by vintage close up magic. Therefore, different classic magic objects (and animals, such as doves and rabbits) will be incorporated in the design along with other some useful reveals and tricks you can add to your routine. Think linking rings, wands, top hats and fancy bird cages. Feel free to share your thoughts!

I gotta admit; for a first time designer/creator I'm really quite impressed with his work and, even though I ended up sitting out on the campaign for his first Pride of Peacocks deck, it's still one that's very much on my radar as I'm excited to see how it comes out and the back of this second deck from the latest update does looks very promising.

can't wait to see more :)

Update on 23rd of April:
Happy (late) Easter!

I have now received confirmation from Cartamundi that the decks are finally ready. They will be shipped to our fulfillment centers in USA and Germany asap and then be sent out to you guys from there. I'll try to get a photo from Cartamundi of the decks and share with you, so you have a sneak peak of what you'll receive soon :) You will also receive a notification soon, telling you that you have 48 hours left to edit your address, just in case this needs updating.

Best regards,

Christian
And the next update on 27th of April:
Happy Saturday everyone :)

Thanks to our friends at 52 Wonders, we now have our first photos of the decks! The decks arrived at 52 Wonders in Germany today, who are one of our fulfillment partners, meaning that the decks for all EU backers will be shipped out very soon (you still have 7 hours to update your address, if you need to do that).

I've posted a few more photos on Instagram if you are interested to have a look. Just click here.

Way too early to say. As of now, I’d say that Jocu will also be a serious contender if he is able to deliver on time.

TGW doesn't count because it's done by Lorenzo? But yeah, Jocu should be as a nominee at the least

Since it is "Rookie deck" and not rookie desinger, I would say TGW counts, since it is the first deck for his brand and his first deck in general.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

It's "the best deck of the year from the first time designer", Lorenzo is the designer, doesn't count in my books.

I am not so sure. I like the TGW deck but Lorenzo is contributing quite a lot to the campaign and Lotrek is taking care of the tucks. All of this would put pretty much anyone on unequal footing and it is just not going to be fair.

Since it is "Rookie deck" and not rookie desinger, I would say TGW counts, since it is the first deck for his brand and his first deck in general.
It's "the best deck of the year from the first time designer", Lorenzo is the designer, doesn't count in my books.
If that is the premise, than I would agree 100% since Lorenzo is the designer, hence no rookie. I just read the category titles, so I didn't read the premise.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

Re: Pride of Peacocks by Arcadia Playing Cards on KS

I got my deck minutes ago. It's very good, easy to shuffle and dribble. I like the inks on the cards. Well it may not be inks but however/whatever they are, it's nice. The cards inside is wrapped in easy to take off cello. This is one of those decks where it doesn't need too many bells and whistles to look great.
