Ya I think so too. I have a version with Monkingbird (Texas roots!) That I'm gonna let sit for a while and see how I like it. However, the blank white resting space will make spinning and card flourishing more impactful because of the added contrast and reduced noise.

That was my 1st impression too! But I love Tally's and am excited to see more.

Ya, No. 13 has become a sort of subbrand for me. I used originally used it to signify my Kings Wild Standard Courts but I have two different standard court sets that I use. I also started just putting it on everything like the Halloween decks and such. Crazy 8's even had No. 13 9/16 or something like that.

These will NOT have the same courts as my Circle Back inspired Tally's but will most likely have my original Kings Wild Standard court set.

I can't say "no" to a JR Tally-Ho. I am guessing that these will parallel the original Kings Wild Tally-Hos (no gilded/legacy decks, just a standard, unnumbered run)?

Looks like I got the kibosh from USPCC legal on doing a new fan back. Its one of the few back designs they still have on trademark lockdown. Looks like I'll have to come up with something new.

I like the redesign. It does look significantly different and definitely has design features that say "Kings WIld". I like the addition of color to make it stand out a bit better. I do think the inner four fans should have similar markings on them as the outer four fans for symetry and so they don't look like paddle boards.

I was actually thinking the same thing after posting it up a looking back at outside of illustrator. I'll make a few additions.

As I haven't got any Tally Ho Fan Back decks in my collection, I actually didn't know why they were called Fan Backs in the first place. That is until JR showed up close the back design. Then it became clear that the backs were designed with fans.

My point to this is that JR's current back design doesn't make it very obvious that the designs are meant to be fans. So unless you're familiar with the original Fan Backs design, newbies will be wondering why they were called fan backs in the first place like I was until recently.

Would be nice to tweak the fans more to resemble fans, unless of course JR wants to make it more a tribute than an actual fan. (or due to copyright issues) Love colored version. Definitely makes it a distinct KWP deck.

Well, people, it is a very sad day. I just got word back from USPCC legal, the Olive Tally Hos were the very last Tally Ho branded deck that USPCC allowed to be "customized" The Tally Ho brand is now a Trademark Locked brand and the only thing that they will allow going forward is colorchanges.

This is super disappointing for me as I love creating fresh Tally Ho deck designs but alas that is the verdict that was given to me from USPCC. It looks like you will never see the Kings Wild Fan backs or ever see me doing a Tally Ho deck again, as color changes are lame IMO.

I am sorry too Jackson, that is indeed sad as you really had some nice and tasteful reinterpretations of them. I guess they want to completely control their old brands. However, not allowing for high-quality reinterpretations is not a good idea in my opinion. But, then again, I don't hold the Trademarks either.

I am sure though that your fecund imagination will come up with something else.
