But the description says "New", not original. Plus the seller is 'merz67'. Isn't he the one who pumps out weak copies of hard to find decks?

"New" as in unopened. F.G & Co does produce reproductions on thick card, but these are not intended for cardistry or magic but for collectors who cannot find or afford such rare decks like the dondorf Four corners deck.
RichK wrote: Plus the seller is 'merz67'. Isn't he the one who pumps out weak copies of hard to find decks?
Merz67 has produced the "Trace" & "Animal" series as well as other "Bicycle Branded" decks made by U.S.P.C.C , which some people do not like. but has never pumped out weak copies of hard to find decks.

I just got my Venice Simplon-Orient Express deck and my Four Corners of the World decks. What can I say about the Venice Simplon deck other than it is an amazing reprint. The Four Corners of the World deck, well it isn't expensive...yeah. It also looks pretty nice. I do think Four Corners is also appropriate as the edges are not rounded. It is kinda like playing cards printed on index card stock. Although, I think index cards would handle better. That said, you can't beat the price and you will not mind pulling them out, but not for playing or cardistry. In fact, anyone that can do cardistry on these deserves a medal of some kind. The tuck box however is cool. Especially so given the incredibly low price. Might make a nice tuck box in fact for my Venice Simplon deck that came wrapped, but without a box...hummm. :ugthink:

Holy crap! I bought a Gold Arcane uncut sheet for $40 a few years ago. Brutal.

Someone has put up some big rarities on eBay recently. There are two Grotesque Signature Decks and Heretic Gran Reserva decks up for auction. Also, yet another Venexiana Gold is up. I see someone has put bids on everything. I am not sure I can put any bids out, much as I would like to. I am so tapped from other new items. Anyway, if anyone is looking for some of these items, I haven't seen them up too often. Past sales were not playing cards. Interesting.

Here are the seller's items, so the above are included in the list:

This Italian Custom deck caught my eye. The deck looks great and is apperantly from the year 1977. 1 bid at 24,50 USD, 6 days to go, shipping from the Netherlands.

This Russian souvenir deck has rather nice looking courts.

Then I found a Russian deck called "Lubok Art" from the 1980's. 36 card deck, looks great in my opinion. I found two listings: This one from the UK, 28 pounds and this one from Russia, 29,99 USD.

aww, thanks Pablo - that's like, really super-cool of you and it'd also be really cool if no one else did either lol :)

hopefully, they'll be other, more interesting decks for people to bid on instead - fingers crossed ;)

But honestly, I can't blame Roope for posting; it really is a neat deck and he's got sharp eyes for spotting great designs

Didn't one of those Reverse decks go for over $800 not too long ago? It'll be interesting to see how this auction plays out.

This unopened pack of old Waddingtons caught my eye. One-way indexless courts, unopened, looks somewhat old and going cheap.

Just a heads up, that deck probably has standard poker faces. The image you see on the box being the back design unfortunately.

Thanks for the information. I'm glad now that I didn't buy it :D I think that nobody should in this case. One-way court card as a back design... Designer was an idiot.
