Re: Bicycle Gorilla Deck - Silverback Edition
$20 is really pushing it. These should be Metalluxe and if so I would pay $25. But for now I'm on the fence.

Re: Bicycle Gorilla Deck - Silverback Edition
The gorilla deck is actually one of my favorite standardish Bicycle decks. I tend to not be a big fan of black cards and that price seems pretty high so I don't know that I will be getting this one.
Part of the appeal of the first deck was how standard bicycle looking it was so the foil and extra bling on the tuck box to try to make this goofy deck into something fancy also isn't really doing it for me.

Put the foil on the cards rather than the box, and I might change my mind.

Re: Bicycle Gorilla Deck - Silverback Edition
Love the design work. This is a great companion to the first deck.
But, not at that price.
I appreciate that they want to make a profit, and I respect that, but there have been so many well-blinged out cards that have come in under this price point that I just can't.
I'm still kicking myself for not cancelling my Mint 2 pledge in time. Sigh. Granted, this deck is more appealing to me, but at that price... can't do it. Not without foiling on the cards themselves.

The fact that there won't actually be any silver on the backs of these cards alone is an outrage!!!JuFiN wrote:The name Silverbacks has a clever double meaning.
and for 20 BUCKS!!! I dunno what kinda monkey business they're up to, but that price is BANANAS!! totally inkongruous to what this deck should actually cost!

Re: Bicycle Gorilla Deck - Silverback Edition
Ugly Aces still but I like these so much better because the first version had the big gorilla faces on the number cards which made them look horrible and as an one way design.
Maybe foiled or Metalluxe can be a stretch goal.

Re: Bicycle Gorilla Deck - Silverback Edition
Trying to do it as a Metalluxe deck is actually a really good idea. It's about the same cost per deck on our side, but we'll have a higher minimum quantity so the goal will have to go to $10,000.

I think with Metalluxe this can easily reach 10k! That would be hype.

I was planning on pledging for a couple but I would definitely get more if they were Metalluxe

Metalluxe at that price is good but not for a standard deck in a foil box

I don't like the faces, at all. That being said, the back design is a refreshing take on the Rider Back layout.

vasta41, I agree with you. I think getting a nice custom Bicycle MetalLux deck at a competitive price is hard to beat. I am in and hope it gets funded. I hope those Bicycle collectors come onboard. We need them in a big way to get this funded.

MetalLuxe? Yes, please!
As long as requests are being made (and heard), I wouldn't mind being able to add on the original Gorilla deck, since I didn't get that when it launched.

We can revisit another print run of the original once this one funds, probably as a stretch goal.

Sadly it doesn't look like this will fund. Unless some kind of surge happens. $20 shipped for a MetalLuxe deck is a steal, people!

Feel free to blast the Bicycle Facebook group. I have hit them up on it and Jason did as well. Those folks may be hard of hearing. They need to put these cards in the bikes to make them roar!

A little bit of advertising really bumped up some pledges- keep at it! I don't know how this isn't funded yet.. SUCH good value.
