This is something a bit different.
There is an art show in LA this summer called Beyond The Streets. It’s an exhibition of street artists and graffiti artists from around the country.
New York artist Timothy Curtis made a Bicycle deck that is for sale at the show for $15. You can also buy it online at their website. May not appeal to everyone, but have a look...

Thanks for the heads up Steve as it is a very cool! Unfortunately, the shipping for one deck is 15.50...and that is US shipping! The sellers have been inhaling too much paint from the exhibition. smh It would be better if you lived in LA and just went to the show to pick them up as a ticket in only 25 and at least you get to see something.

Whoah, I didn't get as far as the shipping cost. I was sort of interested in the deck, I thought it oddly had some merit. It is a shame he didn't do more of a custom art like he shows on his website. He is a gifted artist. I didn't think the deck did justice to his ability, but even so I was on the fence. But, the shipping blows any interest I have out of the water. Pass.

So, I ended up writing to Timothy Curtis’s Studio to comment about the price of shipping and inquire whether they sell decks and this is the response I got...looks like shipping has been corrected Happy Fourth, all!

Happy fourth! Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. We spoke to the team at beyond the streets and they have responded:

“instead of shipping it flat rate priority like we have, we will ship the decks first class and use priority mail for larger orders.

Updated shipping is $7-13 for most orders based on quantity. If he purchases 12 decks it would be $15.50.”

Thanks shermjack for checking on the shipping. I honestly thought it was an artist joke on the shipping. Maybe a way to encourage the decks to only sell at the event. Anyway, at $40 for a pair with US Shipping, it still seems steep. However, the deck is interesting me enough to be in for a pair. Stevecru, thanks for posting information on this deck.
