Kytone Playing Cards

Unread post by Räpylätassu »

Just found this custom deck online, the Kytone deck, designed by Pedro Oyarbide who also designed the Joker and the Thief deck. This deck has a motorcycle theme. You can buy them here. The bottom of the tuck reads printed in Spain. You don't... You don't think these could be Fournier printed?

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

The style similarity is obvious.

It's not bad, but I won't be buying it.

Agreed. Kind of interesting but not enough for me to pull the trigger on this.

I like the line art, the tuck looks nice; the backs are close but being one way is a point against minus another point for the one-way being completely unnecessary.

Any text anywhere is a turn-off, and while I don't mind an unobtrusive deck title on the AoS or something, this decks has the title everywhere, which adds absolutely nothing.

Close, but pass

I really love the design of this deck. I just wish the back design was two-way. As far as I know, these are plastic cards and are definitely not printed by Fournier. I ordered a couple, so hopefully the stock isn't too bad :)

Let us know how they are Serubi! For what I've seen, the quality differences between different plastic decks are smaller than the quality difference of two paper decks can be. I trust that you can add this deck to Portfolio52 when you got time? :D

Any chance someone has a deck they are willing to trade/sell? Found a couple of sites still selling these, but shipping costs from them are much too high.
