IMO there are some "okay" aspects of this deck but the cons FAR outweigh the pros.

This is why I just don't look anymore. There are so many so-called creators creating garbage and flooding the playing card kickstarter market that it's kinda ruining it for me. I remember the days when almost every deck was something almost everyone collector wanted. It went from 90+% to now what...less than 25%?

True, but you kinda sound like a grouchy old man on the front porch yelling at the kids to get off his lawn.

Also, keep in mind that House of Hartsoe makes up a good chunk of the garbage. Heck, when you think about it, we have several repeat offenders, but not so much as Hartsoe. Speaking of which, we never did post their latest Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/53 ... =discovery The campaign is of course already funded with 16 backers and $730 in total pledges. :?

Why? Why did you put the Hartsoe link here? My eyes cannot unsee them now! :ugthink: On the other hand, it does make Green Dragon look good in comparison.

[LIMITED EDITION] Turning Japanese Deck - 60 card deck - (On

Unread post by CLCPC Studio 52 »

Hey everyone!, Craig here from CLCPC Studio 52 intruducing our new Limited Edition deck that is currently on Kickstarter - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/75 ... rd-edition" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Story behind this deck - Built upon legend and inspired by ancient tradition, this Limited Edition deck is a 60 card deck of premium playing cards featuring illustrations by world famous artist Marine Loup. Each deck contains 52 playing cards, 2 joker cards (1 signed), 1 double backer card, 1 unique gaff card plus 5 bonus illustration cards all featuring Marine Loups signature. Made in collaboration with CLCPC Studio 52 this deck was inspired by an ancient Japanese legend of the koi fish - The legend goes that through determination and perseverance, a single koi fish was able to swim upstream to reach the top of a waterfall against all odds. It overcame demons that laughed at and mocked its efforts and who had also heightened the waterfall out of malice. According to this legend, after reaching the top of the waterfall, the gods who had witnessed the koi's efforts turned the koi into a Golden Dragon, the image of power and strength. This deck draws its inspiration from this legend and from Marine Loup and her Turning Japanese illustrations, and represents the determination and perseverance demonstrated by the koi, battling against all odds to succeed. Koi fish are a feature in the deck and are smimming around the centre suit makings of each Ace card as well as a black Koi fish featured on the Joker cards to sybolise the perseverence and determination of the single Koi fish that was able to reach the top of the waterfall.

Funded in just over 24hrs there are still Stretch Goals to unlock for these decks to have them include numbered box seal stickers, emossed tuck box, card stock upgrades plus other bonus rewards and more being available for backers of this project. Please come and help us on this campaign to having these decks produced for collectors and fans of Marine Loups Turning Japanese art collection.

Good luck. I take it that people just want to see their deck creation made which I don't see nothing wrong in that but they don't care about the quality of the cards.

I have no problem with the idea of marked decks, but I also have made it a point not to own any.

I'm even passing on the new Mints (which is a shame; they're lovely and I love premium Bee stock) so I'm certainly out on these things.

But really, what on earth is the point of marking these? I can see doing magic tricks with the Mints, but there's absolutely 0% chance of anyone using these for that purpose.
