In weird way, I like it. But, $15 each is a pass for me.

Their first deck was really cool, completely custom. And this 2nd deck looks just as good.

Re: Johnny Cupcakes third edition Bicycle Playing Cards
1.First version, I liked that the pips were the normal red and black. The front of the tuck and card backs I'm not too fond of.
2.Second version, I like the front of the tuck and love the black and gold card backs but HATE that all the pips were the same color.
3.This third version is confusing as hell with the pips. In some pics, the diamonds are red, in another pic, they're black. I've seen red clubs.

100% agree on the pips of the 1st Edition and tuck on the 2nd Edition.Bikefanatic wrote:1.First version, I liked that the pips were the normal red and black. The front of the tuck and card backs I'm not too fond of.

The color combo of this edition doesn't appeal to me in the slightest but I would be curious if they were chosen maybe because they have a cool effect under black light...? that's the only reason I could imagine why such weird colors were maybe paired together. Also, after looking more carefully, you're right; the pip colors are totally outta whack - it appears that they're not even consistent between courts and numbered value cards within the clubs suit alone! UGH! I so badly want to like this deck...
And that price!

Re: Johnny Cupcakes third edition Bicycle Playing Cards
I spent my money on the Green Wheel deck instead of this. I really do like the mint color of the deck but the f'd up pips is the reason I didn't buy (maybe yet).
I want a new Mailchimp deck btw.

Re: Johnny Cupcakes third edition Bicycle Playing Cards
For those who were curious about the pips, for all 4 suits, Aces up to 10 are green and the Jacks, Queens and Kings are red.
They're still playable but I hope nobody else does their pips like that. Keep it normal!

For the first time ever I actually planned on it but the short story is due to issues out of my control I cannot. I plan on it next year though!CBJ wrote:vasta41 wrote:I have 2 if anyone wants them. $18 incl. shipping in the US. Please PM me!
