I think that's nice of you not to want to reap negativity on this campaign or others but keep in mind that if you notice red flags and DON'T say anything, you could be doing a disservice to someone who saw your post, pledged, and ended up getting screwed because he did see any warnings. But I might be more of a pessimist than you arePipChick wrote:I try to avoid including negative comments in the first initial post of a new project as to not taint anyone's first impression and to allow people to form their own opinions upon checking out the campaign for themselves, but this project has A LOT of red flags...
Reposts aren't endorsements and I think it's a lot to ask of Amy, or any other party unrelated to the campaign, to want her to take responsibility for another user not reading carefully and critically before pledging.vasta41 wrote:I think that's nice of you not to want to reap negativity on this campaign or others but keep in mind that if you notice red flags and DON'T say anything, you could be doing a disservice to someone who saw your post, pledged, and ended up getting screwed because he did [not] see any warnings.PipChick wrote:I try to avoid including negative comments in the first initial post of a new project as to not taint anyone's first impression and to allow people to form their own opinions upon checking out the campaign for themselves, but this project has A LOT of red flags...
I never said I wouldn't say anything to warn of red-flags; my post was written with that exact purpose in mind: as a warning to people of the red-flags I noticed...vasta41 wrote:I think that's nice of you not to want to reap negativity on this campaign or others but keep in mind that if you notice red flags and DON'T say anything, you could be doing a disservice to someone who saw your post, pledged, and ended up getting screwed because he did see any warnings. I think trying to keep thread-opening posts in a neutral tone is the right call. Don't get me wrong, I love a good dogpile, but if the OP is the one to kick it off it just reads like she's teeing up a three-minute hate instead of a productive discussion.
1) I think you misunderstood what she was getting at. 2) It's not her responsibility to warn people just because she's the one posting the project.vasta41 wrote:I think that's nice of you not to want to reap negativity on this campaign or others but keep in mind that if you notice red flags and DON'T say anything, you could be doing a disservice to someone who saw your post, pledged, and ended up getting screwed because he did see any warnings. naaw, it simply started with a warning post about mentioning red-flags in response to my warning post about the red-flags I noticed to remind me and others to remember to always warn people of red-flags noticed when posting - not so complicated, amiright? LOLTwoPieceFeed wrote:
